Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaOverall, we had a good stay here but we had expected more from the ratings and reviews. It felt like facility usage was carefully tracked or restricted which was uncomfortable. Given our experience and the price point for the hotel, we unfortunately won't be coming back esp. if we have any need to use laptops/WiFi outside of the strict check-in and check-out hours. Facilities usage: We work remotely and we specifically chose this hotel because they had a "library" area where we'd be able to use our laptops for a short period before heading to the next town over. I'd messaged prior about our situation and they mentioned this area could be used. We never saw others in the library during our stay, and when we checked out of our room on time, I asked if it was okay for us to stay upstairs for awhile longer (1-2 hours). The front desk staff seemed taken aback by this & eventually said we can stay for 30min max. Being more flexible with staying in the hotel property before/after checking in or out would have made us feel more welcome here. It felt like they assumed we were trying to take advantage of the facilities.. in contrast, no other hotel on our trip has even batted an eye 😂 Private tub scheduling: There are three sizes of private tubs: 1p, 2p, 6p. You are offered four "30-minute sessions" per day per hotel room - 2 before 4pm, 2 after 4pm. These are just for one private tub room, not all three. You must 'book' by signing up on a schedule and you cannot book back to back slots even in different tubs.
The location is walking distance from the hot springs (~3 minutes or so) which was a pleasant surprise. Check-in was simple and the person at the front desk at the time was very friendly. PSA - bring your own first aid kit. My partner started having a bad headache late at night and we went to the front desk to see if they had any OTC pain medication like ibuprofen. Unfortunately they didn't and the closest open gas station was a 10 mile drive away, which wasn't too ideal. So.. again, bring your own first aid kit! We usually do but it slipped our mind and boy did we regret it 😂

United States of AmericaWe had difficulty, in fact, failed to get the TV working so we could consume content. The next morning, staff said we should have requested help. We were just too lazy to get covered back up and seek out the local IT admin to solve the problem.
Breakfast and dinners were great. This historic property has been well restored and updated. There are usual challenges with legacy construction details. The building dates from 1914. But, the charm and accommodations by the staff and of the property itself well make up for them.

United States of AmericaThe mineral baths were out of commission, due to pump issues, bummer because that is why we booked the place, didn’t like breakfast or dining options, the room we had had big light, from outside shining on our window all night, difficult to sleep.

DenmarkThe pictures on Booking.com shows some outdoor pools with hotspringwater. But the hotel had only very small, indoor, private pools in the basement - the pictures was from the public hotspring-pools nearby, which you have to pay for the entry.
Old fashion hotel with charm. Big room with very soft beds (old ones).

United States of AmericaMy only gripe out the hotel was at exactly two AM the fire alarms went off. By the time I got out of bed and to the door to see if there was any danger, they stopped. Other than that, its a great place.
Check in was super easy. If you book here you get two thirty minute soaks in a private geothermal hot pool for each night. Didn't know that and was very happily surprised to find that out. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I went in the summer and the rooms were nice and cool. Wifi was great and not spotty. I would recommend if you are staying in the area to not waste your time at any other hotel but here.
