Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI was initially allocated a room at the front of the hotel. The road noise was so loud I hardly slept a wink the first night, even with ear plugs. Thankfully, I switched to a room at the back which was so much better.
Great location for what I needed. Really friendly staff.

United KingdomCleaning was really poor. They did not respond in a timely fashion to messages through booking.com, in fact they responded to one after may stay concluded sent a fortnight before the stay. Inclusive breakfast is misleading, it only covers two people, even though the booking was a “kids stay free”, meaning there were three people on the booking.
Location. Really good size rooms with a fridge. Inclusive breakfast is nice to find, but not much choice. Wine hour 5-6 and free coffee in the mornings are a lovely touch.

United States of Americasee above regarding a few small room issues.
Restaurant and restaurant staff were exceptional. Loved the late afternoon wine bar, which was conducive to eating dinner in Le Sel, an excellent restaurant. Room was great, although somewhat "over designed" for example, you needed to get out of bed to turn off the bedside lamp at the master switch by the door, and there was a small side chair that was horribly uncomfortable, although it looked nice. Loved the Amelie toiletries, as always.

United States of AmericaThe hotel is located walking distance to the Dupont Circle and McPherson Square metro stops. The staff were professional, friendly, and sincerely pleasant. The hotel is really nice, the room was spacious, clean, and quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

United States of AmericaThe woman working at recoption was obviously overworked and maybe very tired. She had an unwelcoming attitude. There were potato chips underneath my bedside table that I found when I moved the table to plug in my charger. No trash can in the bathroom, which was odd. When I brought this to the attention of the woman at the front desk she just stared at me and asked if I had requested a trashcan be brought up (I didn't realize this was a special request) Valet parking was over $60.00 a night with tax. Ridiculous. Also, no mention anywhere of how much it was beforehand.
Most of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were great.

United States of AmericaThe elevators are small and slow. which made uber timing a bit difficult some times on a busy weekend like the one I visited on- especially from the 10th floor
Not the standard 'free breakfast'. Had great breakfast options, including escargot and fresh crab Benedict.

United States of AmericaI liked the very helpful staff, especially Derrick and Emma. Housekeeping needs to be more familiar with the items the card in the bathroom says one can request. They did not seem to know what a stain remover was.

United States of AmericaThe water pressure in the bathroom was weak and there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The final bill was surprising because of the exorbitant taxes. Parking isn't $55 a night, it's $65 with the tax. And the room is taxed at almost 15% more than given.
Lovely hotel with a friendly, helpful staff. The location is within walking distance to many restaurants and also has its own.

United States of AmericaThe staff was v unprofessional. There was one person at the front desk doing everything. Some valet workers were great, others were awful. $5 for a bottle of water after already spending $500 for 2 night… kind of a rip off.
Beautiful rooms, parking right under hotel (paid $68/day though), big TV’s, close proximity to the White House.
