To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room was good. Decent sized and fairly comfortable. Breakfast was good and had nice selections. Price was good, about what one would expect. Was not flying so airport wasn't important.

United KingdomOld fashioned facilities that have seen better times. The hotel is laid out very horizontally, so you may have a walk to the front desk. There isn't much else in the area though and the centre of Salt Lake City itself was about 10 miles away.
Slightly run down hotel, convenient for the airport. Very sociable bar (Amelia's) with decent food and beer at a decent price that made up for it. Plenty of free parking. Gas station next door. Breakfast was very basic but serviceable. Convenient as a place to base a skiing holiday as long as you have a hire car.

United States of AmericaI booked and paid for a King-bed room, but was given a double queen. If it hadn't been so late and we needed to get up to catch an early-morning flight, I would have demanded the room we were supposed to get. But it wasn't a battle I was ready to fight for the 4 hours of sleep. But I was disappointed. In addition, the floor was very dirty and didn't seem like it had been swept. We didn't feel comfortable walking around barefoot. Lastly, the closest outside door from the parking lot to our room wouldn't open. We had to walk further away to get into the building.
The location to and the ease of getting to the airport were fabulous.

Friendly receptionist, that matters to me. The rate was reasonable for now expensive. Breakfast is descent there. Salt lake City. Clean rooms.

United States of AmericaSome other parts of the hotel could use updating, hallways had some stained carpet etc. Some sloppy finish, like rushed paint jobs or bad caulk. But for the price you don't expect the Hilton. The beds were in the middle of hotel beds for quality, I slept fine but it took a bit to get comfortable.
Having two attached restaurants was great, and for the price the rooms were good. The rooms were certainly clean. Staff are friendly. How long are you going to be spending in the hotel room when you travel anyway?

SamoaI waited about 30 minutes to check in, the service was extremely slow. The hallway seemed to be run down, old and smelly with stains on the carpeting. There is no elevator or bell service to bring luggage to your room. I had requested the airport shuttle for 345am pick up and no shuttle showed in the morning. Front desk clerk said I never called to make the request it wasn't marked in their books. There was no shuttle, taxi or Uber at that time to get e to the airport. The atmosphere seemed a bit unsafe.
The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
