To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Entering the hotel, I immediately liked the peaceful, quiet space. There was a simple but very nice area where some of my family sat waiting for me. The room was very spacious. It was nicely appointed with very comfortable beds and good quality bed linens and bath towels and products. The room was quiet and had good blackout shades.

United States of AmericaI hated that every hour or so, the key fob device would make noise as it was calibrating or something. Made me feel a bit insecure. But I had a handy additional lock so I could sleep at night without thinking someone was coming in my room.
The staff were friendly. The beds were comfy and clean and the noise level was minimal. Housekeeping was sweet and made sure I had extra things if I needed it.

Really kind, pleasant staff and a fantastic location. Close to 51st street Green line subway. Clean, quiet, high floor room. HVAC worked well when needed. Room attendants were efficient in tidying the room each day while I was out. Bathroom was spotless and was kept that way each day. Also dozens of restaurants nearby at all price points. A superb East Indian restaurant, Spice Symphony, next door. HIGHLY recommended! I really enjoyed my stay and would choose this hotel again in the future.

United KingdomThe decor is dated. The baths and showers could do with being modernised for example walk in showers and bidets would be welcomed. The rooms did not have a lot of furniture just the basic, but the room did have space for a sofa.
The room size was impressive when you take into account this is a NYC hotel, close to Grand Central Station (10 mins walk away). Never had to wait for an elevator as they were spacious and quick. Did not try the gym but looked impressive. The Hotel kept our luggage for us for most of the day until we left to catch out flight after we had checked out.

United KingdomThe hotel could do with a bit of a facelift. Nothing is bad, just looks a bit tired. However, the facilities are all there and available for use.
The staff was excellent and all the facilities were in good shape. The location is absolutely brilliant, with almost everything within walking distance or easily accessible from the E or the 6 subway lines (both of which are a few minutes walk away).
