The rooms and facilities are nice but not worth the price tag given the hotel is kind of out of the way and you have to get a taxi or drive to everything. We didn't have a car but I saw it was about $40 a night time park! Food was good but again costly with every meal for a family of 4 being $100. I would stay somewhere in the city next time I am in San Deigo to be closer to attractions, public transport, and other food options.

Service slow at the main restaurant. Only one server working. My meal of halibut was overcooked and cold. The coffee maker in our room was broken. Didn't realize it until after spending $7.00 on the supplied bottle of water. Killed a couple of bugs in the room. Thin walls. Can clearly hear neighbors.

A little rough around the edges and paying $42 per day for parking is a money grab. Staying at the hotel is already $$$

We liked the location of the property, the room was comfortable and clean. The shower was warm with good pressure. We played tennis and had fun paddle boarding and the restaurants had some tasty food. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

this time we came on a very busy weekend. too many people. the pools were overcrowded and couldn’t enjoy it. the phone system for room service was not working. it took multiple calls for someone at the front desk to answer. when we got to our room after checking in, it hadn’t been serviced yet.

we really like this location and we love to stay in the waterfront rooms. the rooms are spacious and clean, beds are comfy. the staff is always friendly and accommodating. I love that there is a refrigerator in the room.

Parking was an additional fee, and there was no space available. The only space available was very far from the actual room. to travel across the grounds with bags from a secondary parking lot when paying the fee for parking both nights was not the most positive note.

I didn’t like that my room was far from pool, I didn’t like that there was no elevator available, the outside floors were very dirty, the bedroom curtains and outside patio were dirty, the food from restaurant was not good and very expensive. In my opinion the nightly rate is too expensive for a hotel that is very old and outdated.

The customer service was amazing and very helpful, the pool was beautiful and relaxing, the rooms were peaceful, I loves that you offer so many different activities at the hotel.

Pool was small for a resort, bathroom in hotel room was cramped, did not provide towels for family of 4 initially (shouldn't need to ask), only 1 tissue box tucked away in bathroom, no soap at kitchen sink, floor could be cleaner in room, long wait to check in, room not ready until after 6pm, no water stations near hotel room, beach was not one to lounge on (uncomfortable debris), no access back to hotel after smores on beach.

Smores night was fun, nice large hotel room, lawn games best room.

Beds were not very comfortable. You can feel the springs and it was hard to get comfy. Also, Too many kids running around the pool area unattended by parents. For a couple looking to relax and have a romantic vacation for our anniversary, the only sanctuary was the Covewood bar or our room. There is one jacuzzi supposedly reserved for adults 21+ but there were constantly kids in it. At one point, i even went over and read the sign to them and told them to go to the other jacuzzi. Their grandmom told me " theres too many kids in the other jacuzzi." Kids are running and yelling around the pool and parents do not care and there is no lifeguard. That might be the only reason that I don't return. I would recommend an adult swim time every day - for at least 1 hour. This would give couples a bit of time in the pool without kids.

All of the staff from the housekeeping to the front desk were friendly and professional. Rooms were very clean. Many have balconies. The location on mission bay was very lovely. Theres a place to rent bikes, surreys, paddleboards, kayaks and boats. You can easily get to the airport and downtown via Uber. The covewood is an excellent restaurant, probably the best food we had during our stay.

Not having a bathtub or microwave was tough with toddler. Was not a fan of food options that were more family friendly on sight. Loved the breakfast, however the dinner menu was limited for more causal feel. The atmosphere felt awkward to have our child in restaurant. We ended up ordering to go and eating in our hotel room.

Loved the pool and welcoming staff. Was mostly accommodating!

the room pretty small but was fine. the staff in the restaurant(Lady) was rude and giving my wife mask face because my wife asked for ice coffee and asked my wife to go to the coffee area at the reception.

vibes and location are very good. the view of the beach very well maintained. I would say you can chill out here for 2-3 days
