kitchenette is very small - if you cook anything it's really hard to wash the dishes (you have to do it in the bathroom). Also, coffee was not good.

I read here that there is a noise insulation problem between the rooms, so I took the upper unit. It turns out that it didn't really help because at 7 o'clock I heard music from the room next door and there is also some noise from airplanes. The worst thing for me was the hot water problem in the apartment. At first there was no hot water at all, then after we waited there was warm water, but also the next day there was only warm water and no hot water for the shower

Ten minutes drive from the airport, a nice and safe neighborhood even at night, the apartment is clean and cozy.

Obviously newly set up and not quite ready. A lot of unopened boxes, and rigged power lines running on lawn. Needs to be de-cluttered and to have the gardening finished. Couldn’t use the fire pit, no propane.

I wasn't notified beforehand about any of the access steps... I got them in an email 2 days after my visit, and the information in the email was incorrect. The only reason we got access was that one of the long-term tenants had a contact number. The number through bookings.com was for the owner in the UK, and he was not helpful. Sounds like I woke him up, and he never did contact the property manager. It was not impressive.

The place was comfortable and quaint. Everything about the stay was great considering the cost.

Power went off on one side of room ( possible space heater was overloading circuit). Took a long time to reach help bt it finally came. Walk to beach is quite steep. Barn door to bathroom does not close tightly and bathroom is right by bed. Hot tub was a little smelly due to wet leaf litter nearby. ( Hot tub water was clean).

Overall nice place! Only complaints we had was above suite you could hear their TV and could hear all the foot steps. Was pretty loud. While awake not an issue but we were planning to sleep until 9 ish but were woken at 7am with the above noted noises. Pretty loud! Wifi was cutting out from time to time which affected our business communication.

Lacks some comfort due to missing or broken features. Was very cold in February because the small heater could not warm the room. Very tiny bathroom sink. Not for people who need dark rooms to sleep. Very thin non-insulated walls and woodworm bore dust (??) on surfaces. Fireplace is nice in theory, but not an option to actually use.

House itself is cute, good location in a save neighborhood with great views. Checkin process easy and comfortable.

We were only contacted by the manager before check-in. They were radio silent afterwards. The dog fee was listed as $25 per night per dog during our booking. When we checked in, we were told it's $50 per night per dog. We emailed them to clarify and to ask about the parking situation, but we didn't get a response. It was the holidays, so I understand. But we had another issue with the heater. This was after the holiday. The thermostat is in another unit, so we had no control over our own heat. Someone left the heater on in a different unit, and consequently turned our unit into a sauna. We called 3 of the numbers they gave us, and only 1 person picked up. It was almost 10PM and we were told there's nothing to be done because it was so late. We were told to crack a window. It was really uncomfortable. By the time we checked out, the house manager never called us back about the dog fee, never replied to our original email message, and never reached back out.

It was a quiet and safe location. Parking was easy. Check in was easy. It's dog-friendly.

Walls are not soundproof enough to block out couple next door having a long loud argument :(

It was suppose to be a relaxing destination to celebrate an anniversary. Unfortunately it did not start out completely relaxing as it seemed our room was double booked. Mara did make a huge effort and placed in another room for one night and was placed in our booked room the following day. The room we booked was very comfortable and we enjoyed the balcony upstairs to enjoy the Californian sun and watch the planes fly over. The beach was only a 15 minute walk away and 6 minutes walk to shopping strip where you could get pizza, Italian, subway, donuts, sandwiches and small range of groceries at liquor store. 20-30 minutes can get you to Venice beach or Santa Monica pier via Uber. Overall apart from the initial hiccup it was a nice stay :)

Jacuzzi was broken, and that was not advertised. Room is definitely not soundproof as advertised. Room is very bright in the morning so if you want dark, suite D is not for you.

Location was in a great neighborhood. Room was very comfortable and felt safe. SHOWER WAS AMAZING! Room had everything you need.

The only big negative is that we were told the hot tub was dirty - which obviously put us off using it! We were hoping to get a soak so that was a shame this wasn’t available. The host was a little slow to respond, but we didn’t have too much to discuss!

We stayed in the B flat, it was so charming and lovely! Plenty of space for a couple, with a separate living room, bedroom and a big bathroom! We absolutely loved our stay here, the flat was clean and well equipped (air fryer, stove, fridge, microwave, hairdryer etc). The area is really safe and we felt very comfortable here - only 25 mins drive from Venice and Santa Monica. Check in and check out was easy and there was plenty of on-street parking. There’s two TVs, although we could only get Netflix to work on one of them. There’s a lovely set of shops nearby, handy for laundromats and a quick bite - definitely try out Yum Yum Donuts! Would definitely stay here again if we visited LA again! Saw som reviews that mention double charging - we booked o Booking.com so no such problems!

Air conditioner seem to be controlled somewhere else in the house, we had to cover the vents with towels during the nite.

We loved the eclectic decor. Room was very large about the size of a 2 car garage. Bed was very comfortable, hi-tech shower was great once we figured out how to use it.
