Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe room has an awkward layout. Had to keep bathroom door closed all of the time. Shower door opened on the wrong side. Pool and spa were out of order.
The room was quiet and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Well located close to ucsc and sc downtown.

United States of AmericaThere's only one way to get to rooms above the first floor; the elevator. I prefer using stairs to access upper floors and that doesn't exist at this venue. There are stairs that connect between floors and lead to exiting the inn without going through the lobby, but one can only get back to their room by going through the lobby to take the elevator. I assume this is a security feature.
Having been to this venue before, I chose it based on its recent construction (built in 2014-15) and the location; just far enough outside the city to provide some peace, but close enough to access wants and needs that a city's business district can provide. The property is also in close proximity to some fine pedestrian paths and trails. One can find their way to Natural Bridges, Seymour Science Center, or even Wilder State Park without driving.

Location. I was there when the fire alarm went off and a second time when the power for the whole building went out - big storm. But I still come back because it’s a good place. Maybe I’ll get a free stay based on above. Only thing that needs help BADLY is the morning breakfast- very sad need real eggs, sausage/bacon, other items the resemble REAL food.

United States of AmericaAt check-in, there was a nasty surprise of an additional $50 charge to cover possible incidental expenses. My budget didn't cover this surprise and it made for an unpleasant beginning to the weekend. I hope that this policy will be disclosed in the future- at Booking - during the reservation so some one like myself can choose if this policy works for me or not. Usually on the last day of a reservation, the cleaning crew comes AFTER the room has been vacated. Twice someone tried to come in while we were packing up. Check-out was at 11 but my room key stopped working before that.
Clean, spacious room and bathroom. Coffee machine, hair dryer and fridge in room. Iron and board in closet. Full breakfast with a LOT of choice. Gas fire pit on the back patio. Pool and exercise room included. Location is perfect for downtown access and the coastal beaches. Quiet cul-de sac.

ItalyArrived at 3:30pm and at first told no rooms were available. Then someone yelled from an office that the rooms on the 4th floor are finished being clean but not updated in the computer. He then assigned us a room on the 3rd floor, which had an ajar door when we arrived but it was clean. Very strange.
Great location for visiting UCSC. About 15 min walk to the state beach. Nice selection for breakfast. Very good restaurants within short drive.

United States of AmericaUnfortunately, the hotel room doors slam shut very hard and loud and were annoying. We were on the 3rd floor and could hear the people on the 4th floor in the room above us running and jumping so loudly. I called the front desk and asked them to ask those guests to be aware of the sounds coming thru our ceiling, which they did, but unfortunately, it barely helped at all because the floor/ceiling is extremely thin and all sounds travelled into our room. Very disconcerting.
Loved the front desk staff. They went above and beyond the regular front desk staff duties. They were very helpful during our stay, giving us tips for catching an Uber, and where to go sightseeing. Skye was especially friendly and accommodating...
