Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere were some noisy people staying below us the first night; also, the walls creaked a lot when the wind was blowing hard.
I arrived around 10:00 at night, however the receptionist promptly answered the door and check in was quick and easy. We rented the three bed family room, which was very spacious and comfortable. The staff had no problem offering us extra towels since there were five of us. The hotel is conveniently located close to several restaurants on the North end of the main street through Alamogordo. Overall, my family's stay was restful and pleasant and I would stay here again.

United States of AmericaFunctioning TV Remote, Functioning ICE Machine. Extra towels for the bathroom. However, all of these things were resolved with the assistance of Kavita. She is a dream Hostess !!
No Breakfast. However Kavita was so VERY Helpful in taking care of the items that we noted needed attention. Like getting us a remote for the TV. Getting an ashtray that was missing from the room. The ICE Machine was not working .. but she got that resolved. She went way out of her way to please us. She deserves a RAISE!

United States of AmericaRoom was a bit small and strangely designed. The door to the bathroom was too big and hit the ground while closing, which made it difficult to obtain privacy and the bathroom tub was clogged.. not sure if it was the previous tenant but once it unclogged the next morning there were chunks of something which indicated it could have been vomit…that kind of grossed me out..
The property was right on the edge of town and made it easier to get back on the road afterward.. check in/out was easy as well..

United States of AmericaThe bathtub was really old & had been repainted & was all chipped up. I would have like to at least having coffee in the office. They had nothing. We got there late in the day & left by 6 am. We only had had one little dog who is a non barker & house broken but got charged $20 for her to stay with us so that put the price of our non frill room around $100. For an older motel with nothing to oder, I think that’s a lot of money. The television was very limited on what to watch. The lamp by the Tv didn’t have a shade so it glared in our eyes
I liked the flooring because I hate carpet.

United States of AmericaThe price online is the same price as going in there or calling the hotel to reserve. Two beds is more expensive than one. It was dirty, the bathroom tub was gross & the towel had a stain. The TV had no channels. The artwork had dust and stained like water spilled on it.
I could park right in front of my room so i could see my vehicle whenever i needed to check it. The AC /heater worked super well.

HungaryThe bathroom was so filthy we could hardly take a shower. At 9 a.m. they started fixing the water system so there was no water in the bathroom. The motel is near the rood and our room was extremely noisy, we could hardly sleep at night.
The location was good, close to Mescalero Reservation.

United States of AmericaThe water in the shower didn’t get very warm and the bed was pretty hard.
The hotel is close to town and White Sands. The man (who I assume is the owner) is very friendly and accommodating. We arrived in town around 10am and asked if there was a possibility for us to check in early. He said that as soon as the room was empty he’d make sure it was the first one cleaned! This was extremely appreciated as we’d been on the road for 2 days. It was also very quiet. No shady characters hanging around; felt safe which is important.

United States of AmericaWe got in late, after doing sunset photos at White Sands, and the air conditioner hadn't been turned on so the room was pretty hot and it took a while to cool down. We decided the next time we stay there we will just make sure to check in earlier before heading to White Sands.
We booked a family room with 3 queen beds and a sofa. This was perfect for our family of 6 +large dog. We fit comfortably in the room and didn't feel we were constantly on top of each other. The staff was very helpful, and mentioned at check in that if we needed more towels or anything else to let them know and they would bring them up, we found we did not quite have enough towels for the 6 of us and we had towels within 10 minutes.

United States of AmericaIt was bad enough to the point that I calmly told her she didn't have to get hostile with me and that I never pushed needing a new room, that I understand where she was coming from with that, I was just trying to find a solution for the internet. She said her son or husband would help me. Ultimately, I figured it out myself. I had to reset my network settings on my computer, and it worked, but to her son's credit, he did come to my room to help. He also checked me in and was incredibly courteous, patient, and nice. The issue here isn't my computer, though. It's how this woman was so quick to talk down to me. I wouldn't even talk to my friends the way she spoke to me, no less my customers--unless my customers were being rude, disruptive, or yelling, which I wasn't. I was just asking for help. I can't imagine how she would have reacted had I even slightly raised my voice or gotten a fraction as defensive as she did towards me. Ma'am, you seriously need to work on your customer service. You own a hotel. And after reading the reviews (which I should have done before I booked), it's clear I'm not the only one who feels this way. Your establishment doesn't make your guests feel comfortable. In fact, I've never had such a negative experience at a hotel. It was unnecessary and uncalled for. I didn't feel like a guest. I felt like a burden. Also, the bathroom towel was child-sized and the fridge smelled. On a positive note, your son was great, though. Very gracious, kind, and willing to help me, even when I was annoying with my questions. He exercised top-notch customer service. You could take a page out of his book. Good luck to you.
I had an issue with the internet, and it was ultimately my computer's fault, not the hotel's fault. However, the hotel had two wifis, one by the lobby that my computer connected to, and one in my room that my computer did not connect to. I asked if it was possible to change rooms to be closer to the wifi that worked. The woman owner was already annoyed because I'd asked for help more than once. She told me no, that they were larger rooms, and it was my computer's fault, not her internets fault. When I tried to explain that I booked the room for the internet, and one of the internets was working and the other wasn't, she got incredibly hostile towards me, borderline yelled at me, scolded me for blaming her internet, and adamantly repeated that she would not give me another room.
