Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Less privacy and the breakfast area is too small. Even though there is no indoors food area and it was raining ,no one allowed to take food to their rooms

I didn't like how the cleaning staff doesn't come often as posted, I didn't like the way the staff treated my family and making up lies such as noise complaints and filthy rooms. I was told I was not going to be able to book because my room was filthy and it wasn't and even if it was they have housekeeping to keep up with the rooms and they don't even come often, I didn't like that I had to clean my own room, didn't like that some of the stoves wasn't working properly, and I didn't like how the staff kept trying to find excuses and lies to try to get rid of my family out the property. I also feel like they're pocketing some of the money because my receipts show a different price than I actually paid. And sometimes you don't get your deposit.

I didn't like that they don't have curtains on the windows, they are almost all broken and the olo parking is $20 per day which is a lot and this is their property

we had to wait in a long line and a hot office to check in. I found a cockroach crawling across our living room floor while we were eating, and there were absolutely no dishes, silverware pots pans, plates, paper towels. If anything goes wrong and you need help at the front desk be prepared to wait no matter the time of day. Other than that it’s served its purpose. I really enjoyed the nice shower and the corner room had nice big windows and the TVs in the living room and bedroom were big and everything was clean.

Dirty Dingy old towels Office was 2 blocks away Never answer their phone. Charged a daily hotel fee of $18, on top of the regular hotel price quoted by booking.com ( it would be satisfactory to be get that back)

Wasn't clean. Floors were sticky and humid. Our unit was VERY humid because it was downstairs. Never got towels or garbage replacement. Funny smell that never went away. Nails coming out of floor between bathroom and hallway. Would not go back.
Close to the beach. Staff came quick to fix the floor board with the nails popping out. A closed room in the appartment.

My family will continue to pursue the issue of the discrimination unfairness disrespect mental surest that was impose on us by office Manager. And I want to fill a formal complaint against the Office Managet Tyler and against Hollywood beach hotel unless that lady has been remove as a manager she is treat to the live of black families that are guest ther she is tyrant to the stafff . She is unprofessional, unethical biasis . Her come to work unclean rinkle and not groomed she is not customers material her relationship to owner does not entitled her the right to abuse people
