Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Bathroom was extremely small and tight, could barely close the door when you’re in there. Bathroom tiles were old, could use a regrouting. We had a small mail when we arrived at the bar. The food was subpar. We ended up canceling our reservation (we were celebrating our 30 year anniversary ) at the restaurant for the following night. I’m glad we did because we tried the breakfast buffet in the morning. Awful. Can’t believe I paid $28 a person for that.
Location right on the beach was wonderful. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

No microwave. That is something you always need. You go out to dinner, but you can't reheat your food.
The room was very clean and comfortable. You felt like you were at home. Not on the ocean front, but it was close enough.

This hotel is extremely overprice. We were with friends for a wedding, everyone had a complain about their room and the price.. The phone in the room did, so we couldn’t communicate with the front desk. The iron board felt apart in my hands, I left it on the floor so the housekeeper could fix it or exchange it, we came back and the room was made but the iron board was laying on the floor in the same spot I left.
The location is beautiful!

No bar stools on the outside bar. Housekeeping did not give us new toiletries - no shampoo/conditioner/soaps and no toilet paper. I had to call the front desk to ask for toilet paper. Original room was loud - huge air conditioners on the roof right outside of our room window.
Beach. Nice buffet breakfast. Hotel lobby was nice.

The bed was very uncomfortable, very noisy every move you'd wake up. Right when we arrived the floors were very sandy, I had to put my shoes back on. The TV wasn't working at all.
The beach was nice, the outdoor bar was very convenient. Location was great.

It was loud with many little kids running around screaming outside your room. The staff could be rude at times. The one and only indoor restaurant felt like a mess hall.
access to the beach was easy and fabulous! Just walk out down to the beach and grab a chair. The ocean was clean , warm and beautiful.

I didn’t love the price $$$ ….also it wasn’t kept up as nice as it was a few years back ….the flower beds were full of weeds and dead plants and shrubs …..really disappointed ….the food at the restaurant wasn’t great …the staff was really nice ….the prices at the snack bar was ridiculous $19 dollars for a Hot Dog 😱😱😱
I loved the location…I loved the beach and the pool ….It was great to sit on the beach and be served ….restaurant on site ….

The parking spots are really close together not good or safe for people driving SUVs, which is a lot of people nowadays especially in Massachusetts. Always expect a nice ding on your paint job from another car door. Also, if you’re staying on the first floor with a porch entrance onto the sand, it would be nice if the room came with a dustpan and broom so your bare feet aren't constantly picking up the sand  and getting it into the bed sheets & everywhere else.
The location is great and I love old silver beach.

I didn’t like that the tub in the bathroom wasn’t updated , it wasn’t the worst but you can just tell been here as long as the place has
