Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The walls are a little thin, conversations from next door could be heard easily and can disrupt sleep. Slamming room doors. Kids running through hallways without parental supervision. No quiet hour enforcement.
Convenient location, great amenities, responsive staff, and cute room set up.

Service delays were troubling but could tell staff were trying hard to be helpful.
Very relaxed setting that was close to our son and his family which was the purpose of our visit. Property is very clean and comfortable. Food and beverage was good. There were some service delays due to limited staff availability. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, yet sometimes rushed due to number of patrons. This is a great property!

The room had not been vacuumed, there was sand everywhere on the floor at check in. Brought it up with reception and they had told us they will send a cleaner but they never did.
Beautiful room, very comfortable, great facilities my location is straight on the highway.

They charge a $100. pet fee, which we felt was pretty steep as it used to be $50.00. The wording on their welcome email is odd "unfortunately we accept pets"? They also charge $10. a night to park, just another way to gouge people.
The hotel grounds are beautiful and nicely maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable.

In our hotel room we only had one chair to sit in . When there are two people staying in the room. We had trouble with the thermostat on the first day we couldn't get any heat and the second day it was too warm. Also there was only one set of towels (2) when I shower I like to use one for my body and the second for my hair leaving my husband to use a semi wet towel

The receptionist for check out was icy and charged a lot more than I had to pay according to my Booking reservation. After emailing with the manager I got a refund. Another problem for me was that the room wasn't equipped as luxuriously as Booking's AI generated description promised (Booking's fault!)
Outdoor settings like pool and water features were nice and well maintained. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, breakfast was good.

Wish it had a beach view but other than that it was great! Sevys needs more local-friendly pricing for happy hours.

No microwave oven in the room. I like to microwave popcorn for TV watching.
An extra $10/day for parking is ridiculous. Just include it in the price of the room. People don't walk to the facility or fly in at Aptos International airport!

Their restaurant over charged me for my dinner and it took two phone calls to get it resolved, but they finally got it fixed.

lighting in the room and presentation/delivery of room service meals
grounds and facilities were very nice although lighting in the room could be better. Ordered room service for a bday celebration expecting it to be delivered in real plates, instead the meals were boxed and delivered in a brown paper bag so that was a let down. the food was really good though, presentation could have been better especially since they charge extra for room service. Really enjoyed the breakfast, everything we ordered was good, it was so relaxing to hear the waterfall as we dined and the kids really enjoyed the koi pond

We felt our room balcony could be a bit cleaner. In particular the window slider was dirty, so was the balcony furniture and floor.
The location close to the 1 fwy. Safeway and Peet’s coffee across the street. Restaurant, bar and pet friendly. We walked to the beach within 20 minutes.

I don’t like the amount of dogs that are in the property- I would like to have rooms that are specifically for no pets. allergies and smell bother my spouse. too many patrons take their pets into their rooms. walls were somewhat thin and a little noisy.
enjoyed the garden patio, I liked the chair set that is there to enjoy during the mornings.

The balcony needed some sweeping and chairs were dusty.
The breakfast was great and happy hour by the koi pond was fun with our 4 year old. We enjoyed the pool. Location was close to Safeway and other food decent food.

Couple brought baby into the hot tub and the baby pooped so there was brown stuff floating all over the hot tub and had to jump out before I even had a chance to enjoy it.
