Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaBathrooms were small. Landscaping was not great and it didn't feel like a beautiful place with a lot of odd buildings and odd views. Felt overpriced.
The reception and coffee bar and the friendly staff. Especially appreciated all the luggage handling and shuttle services to everywhere.

United States of AmericaDisappointed that our Verizon cell service wasn't available (not the lodge's fault), but their Wi-Fi was good and reliable.
We had good breakfast burritos at the coffee shop. Also, liked that there was ice in a freezer on the first-floor veranda of our building... handy for the ice chest. Liked the balcony off our room and also the table and chairs on the veranda... nice to people watch.

United States of AmericaWe waited almost an hour for the shuttle coming back from the Fjords cruise tour which was tiring. I wish that there was a microwave in the room and enough coffee for all guests for 2 days. We also had to ask for additional shampoo, since it was one tiny bottle for 4 people.
Breakfast was good in the restaurant and the property is beautiful.

AustraliaBecause it is out of town there are less close by eating options. The attached roadhouse was ok but I definitely wouldn’t do breakfast there again. The property claim they have nothing to do with the roadhouse but having stayed at other Pursuit-run properties it seems to follow their formula, so we’re were surprised when staff couldn’t help us make a booking at the restaurant before we arrived.
Good location out of town and in the forest. The accomodation is broken up into groups of 10 rooms separated from each other (which was good) but they are wood properties so you can hear other guests walking around above you.

United States of AmericaLocation was a bit difficult to deal with. It is maybe 10 minutes by car out of the town. Unless you happen to be exactly where their shuttle stops, you will need to take an expensive cab ride. There isn't much to do (no hiking etc) unless you use a car to get to the town or national park. Rooms are comfortable but dark (little to no natural light), and are quite similar to a typical budget "motel" room. While the landscape around the area is amazing, all rooms are secluded in the woods so you can't really see anything.
Friendly staff and rustic location. Hourly shuttle into town was a nice bonus. Restaurant on premises was decent. One of the larger and nicer hotel/lodges in Seward. Hotel is spread out over several small two-story buildings on the property.

United States of AmericaSuite was very nice. Was first placed in a double queen room (4 people)that was quite small and was not very updated. You really need to try to get in an updated room. Ask for one when you get there. They hold them for the tour bus people and you may be able to get one.

United States of AmericaThe restaurant entrance is off the highway, far from the rooms. The first day we saw the locked back of the building and thought it was closed! Our room thermostat was stuck on high, so we had to crack the balcony door.
Quiet location just outside town, buildings are spread out with parking by each. Nice sized rooms, ours had a little balcony.

United States of AmericaThe floor above us was easy to hear the people walk around their room. We should have asked for a top floor room.
The room was very roomy and comfortable. We were on the first floor and probably should have asked for a top floor room. We could hear the people above walking around a lot during the early morning and evening. They did thankfully quiet down by 10:00.

United States of AmericaWe did not have breakfast at the restaurant. The "grab n go" employee was late and we had a shuttle to catch for an early excursion, so we were a little apprehensive.

United States of AmericaWe could only check in after 4:30pm due to staff shortages. We didn't like having the wash basin in the bedroom- the bathrooms should be a little bigger.
We loved the location, away from the busyness of the harbor. The grounds are lovely. The room size was good and the bed was comfortable. The shuttle service running into town and back is excellent. The on site restaurant (Resurrection Roadhouse) is great but can get busy in the evenings. The front desk staff were very helpful even though they were extremely busy.

United States of AmericaThe walls of our building were so thin that we could hear some sort of domestic altercation transpiring in the room next door. I didn't like that at all. However, the silver lining is that because we could hear every frightening word, my wife and I were able to determine that authorities needed to be alerted. We called the front desk and the staff reacted swiftly and Alaska State Troopers were called to the scene and the crisis was averted. Kudos to the staff for that. But yeah.... thin walls. If those people had just been having loud sex or something, we'd have heard the entire thing.
Enjoyed the breakfast. A little spendy for locals but understandable as this is usually a property with tourists as the target demographic. Maybe run a special for locals?
