I experienced numerous issues at the Shelley Hotel in Miami, booked through Booking.com. Upon arrival, there was no dedicated check-in desk; check-in was managed at a sister hotel across the street, which I was not informed about in advance. The hotel entrance was locked, adding to the initial confusion. I arrived at noon but was unable to check in until 4 PM, and found that neither hotel offered luggage storage, leading to extra costs. I was informed of two available rooms—one on the third floor and one on the first. Despite choosing a third-floor room, I was assigned to Room N 104 on the first floor next to a bar. Loud music played at the bar from 4 PM to 4 AM, making it impossible to rest. At the time, I was feeling unwell, which exacerbated my discomfort, yet my requests for another room were denied. Service continued to disappoint. The cleaning staff failed to clean my room when requested, and necessities like a kettle and basic toiletries were not provided. My requests for clean towels and toiletries were ignored by a receptionist who was dismissive, accused me of being rude, and even threatened to call the police on me. I contacted Booking.com seeking help. They acknowledged my issues but were unable to relocate me. Attempts to secure a quieter room were fruitless, leaving me to endure another night in the noisy, unclean room while sick. On my departure day, I was abruptly told to check out at 11 AM. My stay was severely affected by poor management, inadequate service, and a lack of basic hospitality, especially critical given my health condition (for which I have a doctor's report). I would strongly suggest against staying at this hotel to avoid a similar experience.

This property is so dated…. The cards on the doors don’t work sometimes it takes 15 minutes to get into the room as the key cards do not work !!! Be very careful with giving these guys your card details the took the 100 dollar deposit and didn’t give it back and also took an extra $40 dollars on the day of departure for no reason!! They won’t tell me why they done this any time I have called !!! Also there is no reception on site the reception is at a different hotel and that is where you check in !!! No parking facilities either !!!! I personally would be ashamed if I owned this hotel it’s a scam but that seems to be the way in Miami shady scammers everywhere so I guess that’s why this place finds it acceptable!!

Very bad experience bathroom ceiling was leaking infested with pest roaches in the room. Really bad & inconvenient. Not sure if it was bedbugs or mosquitoes but I was a bit up really bad on my arms and feet was supposed to stay December 11 through the 14th. Checked out on the 12th reached out directly to hotel Shelly to receive a refund still no answer. Also when spoke to the receptionist, I was told my deposit/security code will be released immediately, which was false, did not release until December 14 which I check out on the 12th… still currently trying to reach out to the property directly for a refund a really bad experience I would never stay here again!!!!

Not the cleanest possible, weird smudges on the mirror, some dirt on the floor. TV channels were weirdly glitching out, it’s like all of them went through a horror red filter lol.

Very nice comfy room, on the smaller side but perfect for a solo traveler. Location was great, short walk to the beach, bunch of cafes nearby, bus stop like a 3min walk to get everywhere else in town

The room was dirty, people's hair all over the floor so it hadn't been cleaned. The toilet haven't been cleaned properly, the curtains and bed sheets were stained. The bed frame was sticky and there were mosquitoes in the room.
