Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The rooms are old and pretty basic. Bath was small, beds were fine but not great. Nothing bad at all, as long as your expectations are in line with the reality.
Staff was great. This is really more of a "stay and play" golf set up. Our room overlooked the golf course and offered a nice view of the mountains, which was nice. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good.

There wasn't a microwave in the room..the shower head needed to be cleaned.. the noise for all of the men on their golf trip...even listening to them was entertaining.
The balcony, the view of the mountains.. room was a good size. Bed was comfortable.

We wished the room had a microwave. The bathroom window was unlocked upon our arrival which made us feel less secure.
Clean comfortable. Room as described. Area felt safe and staff was friendly and accommodating.

While I know the room was clean and comfortable, I also realize that it is near impossible to remove the scent of cigarette smoke from an older property. Our room had the competing scents of cleaning products over top of years of stale cigarette smoke.
The staff was great, very welcoming and helpful. The location provides easy access to the Shenandoah Valley and it's attractions. The pool was large and the kids enjoyed swimming.

We had issues with checking in. They said Booking.com canceled our room, and they didn't have anything else available! Turned us away. We had just traveled 4 hrs to get there and was devistated. We contacted Booking.com, who confirmed that they did NOT cancel anything. They spoke to the receptionist and suddenly found us a room.Not the view we intended, but still a relief we were not stranded.

The restaurant on the property served mediocre food that you could probably make at home and it would taste much better. The bartender was fantastic and made me a great margarita alternative when they ran out of triple sec.
The pool side room was very comfortable and clean. The check-in process was smooth and easy.

It's a golf course/motel with a fantastic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It doesn't include breakfast, but has a grille which serves good food.

I wish there is a small refrigerator/microwave inside the room,
The location is great for a one night stop. The restaurant onsite is a plus. The staff, Teresa was very pleasant and nice to talk to. The golf course is a plus. Nice view.

Everything was better than we expected and we'll be back on our next trip on I-81.
Wonderful facility with a nice restaurant overlooking the golf course, large pool and beautiful grounds.

I was surprise when my kids and I went to have breakfast at 10:15 only to be told they had stopped serving breakfast and were only serving lunc

The rooms have been renovated nicely but the walls are paper thin so you can hear conversations of the people in the room next to you. The Grille charged me $2.75 for a soda water. When I questioned it they said anything coming from the soda fountain is charged. I’m not sure if actual sodas cost the same or more but I have never been charged for a soda water off the fountain. of course if it’s a bottle or can, I understand that, but not the fountain.
My room was clean and had a nice view out to the golf course.
