Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe beds were uncomfortable, the furnishings haven’t been updated since the 80s, rust on all the hinges to cabinets & doors. “Wood” paneling peeling off doors and furniture. Hot tub under construction & the indoor pool was cold.
The staff was friendly. The rate was decent.

United States of AmericaOur room was full of flying bugs. The bathroom was dirty and sink had hair and dried on toothpaste in it. The beds were like a rock. The linens were very starched feeling. The pool was closed. There were no amenities for the price. Multiple guest had their doors propped open and were very loud past midnight. Then guest services charged me for a pet I didn’t even have.
Location was great!

United States of AmericaAnticipated being able to use the pool and jacuzzi only to find them out of service. This is the second location where this has been an issue. If I had known there wasn’t a pool, I would have chosen a different hotel.

United States of AmericaThe price. I spent over$500 for two nights. Unfortunately the toilet in my first room stopped up and could not be fixed, and I had to move to another room. Initially I was told I would be charged an extra fee, but that was eventually waived.
For me, the location was good. The staff was cordial.

United States of AmericaWe have to wait till 7:30 because room was not ready. Front desk girl keeps telling us every hour that it'll be ready soon. My kid waa tired and wanred to relax. My lil dog wanred to be settled. But I wasted gas driving aroynd in unkniwn town because the room which waa suppose to be ready by 4....was not. Never ever staying at that place and I feel like booking.com didn't provided right info. So I will not be using bookiing.com again.
It was conveniently located for my fishing trip but thats about it.

United States of AmericaFirst I want to say the staff was friendly, polite and kind, I have no issues with them. Good job! 😁 The hotel is very dated: there is a musty smell when you walk in, through the hallways, into the elevator and in the room. I understand it’s not a five star and it’s probably been this way for awhile but it is disappointing when you are looking for a comfortable lodging spot and you pay a good price. Obviously the owners aren’t putting any money into the place, but the staff keeps it up the best they can it seems, I can imagine it’s been that way before any of them came there? It needs an upgrade but since they will get the people who couldn’t find a room in seaside or Astoria then they will be content being the stepchild lodging facility with no high expectations to do better concerning upgrades. The shower pressure was good, I guess I will give a shout out to that.

United States of AmericaCost of two rooms was ridiculous with no breakfast. I believe the price of the rooms was jacked up due to Salmon Derby and Kite Festival going on in the area. Toilet in the room next to ours ran off and on all night, was difficult to sleep.
No breakfast was available, not sure why. Was not notified of this at the time reservations were made. Was frustrating! Our stay was relatively quiet, parking was convenient as well as the Walgreens across the parking lot. Was good to have close for food since no continental breakfast was served.

United States of AmericaCheck-in as at 4pm. When I arrived at 3:50 Tristian, who is nice enough, radio'd housekeeping to inquire whether a king room was clean and ready. They hadn't started, so I asked if it would be ready in 30 minutes, or when? He didn't know, but would call me when ready. I was meeting family at 4:30 for dinner reservations in Astoria; I checked back in with Tristian at 4:20 in person, and he said they were halfway done. So I brushed my teeth and got dressed in my car, and informed Tristian I would be at dinner and would pick up room keys and actually get into my room later that night. I received no acknowledgement that they were late for my check-in. At 5:30 (1.5 hours after check-in), I received the call and voicemail that my room was ready. Granted I was at dinner. When I got back later that night, Tristian said "We called but you didn't answer, so we left a voicemail." It was not worth reminding him we talked face to face, and I said I would be out and checking in after dinner. Regardless, I did appreciate receiving an apology at that point. A little thing like that goes a long way, especially for the price of a two-night stay. I suggest to customers: Call well ahead of your check-in time to see if you room will be ready at 4pm. Perhaps the hours on their website and signage do not apply. Or, stay somewhere else with a professional hospitality team.
