Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Our room had been recently refurbished and was very clean. The location was perfect for our visit to death valley, which was an amazing experience.

Room was nicely decorated and cozy. Shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water (needed after hiking all day in DV).

United States of AmericaWe had room 28, and we were by the sewage part of the motel where a lot of black flies were but hardly noticeable. Didn't bother much, which is understandable why they were there. The room was very sealed off to keep them out. Other than that, I'm definitely coming again for a whole weekend, loved this place.
Hands down, this is a hidden gem. I loved everything about it. Everything was close by. The natural warm spring pool was amazing. The owner was kind and had great hospitality. Clean and comfortable room, amazing comfortable bed. Great location.

United KingdomThe breakfast. It was a bit unclear how it worked. There were some bagels and cream cheese in the fridge and some bad coffee. There was only one toaster and a lot of people so we just gave up and left. Walls are thin but it is pretty quiet except when people come and go and wasn't a problem for us.
We stayed here on our way out of Death Valley. You really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere and then there is this hotel, a gas station with some food, and a restaurant. The restaurant across the street was closed when we were there which was unfortunate but about 7 miles away (on a straight easy road) was the most delicious BBQ I have ever had at Tecopa Brewing Company. That was one of the highlights of our whole trip. The motel had a pool a short drive or walk away that was thermal. A bit dated but fine. Bed was comfortable, heater kept us warm. Coffee and fridge in room.

United States of AmericaThis is a rather plain motel style setting, but the rooms are well kept up, and the charm of the staff overcomes any limitations.
Small, clean, comfortable motel outside Death Valley National Park. Shoshone is an interesting town, and lots of birding, hot springs and other things to do. Staff is welcoming and very helpful about everything from where to get a bite to eat, to best birding sites. And don’t miss the desert tortoise enclosure out back.

United States of AmericaMe being a person who loves authentic and real places both in town spirit and its people. I have quite an easy going personality, so this place had absolutely “nothing” wrong with it:)
The location was very unique and quite peaceful due to it’s beautifully remote location. The night sky was Incredible.

SloveniaWe liked everything. But if I have to nitpick, it would’ve been nice if the unit was heated before our arrival. It was a cold night, and it took some time for the spacious cottage to become warm.
We stayed in a cottage. It was clean, spacious and well equipped.

United States of AmericaSee above.
I’m going to be honest. I’m a little torn about how to review. The facility itself is super nice. It’s been renovated and is very clean. However, I’m very upset with the communication from the Inn. One of the main roads to reach the hotel was closed. We had to detour over 2 HOURS to reach the hotel only for there to be no food because the restaurant was ALSO closed. Nearest food was 20 minutes away. Now - every other hotel on our trip messaged us multiple times for various reasons. This hotel could (and should) have messaged us ahead of time to let us know about road and restaurant closures and that basically the ENTIRE town was shut down. We could have made a decision to cancel or not. As it was, by the time we found out, it was too late, and no refunds would be given. Just super disappointed in the staff service and communication. 2/10

BelgiumPool was a disappointment. The walk up a road next to the school was ok. The pool is shared with the RV park. It is very small and needs a good clean. It had algae in it and rather stagnant. No working chairs to sit on and very rudimentary changing facilities? No toilets. The fence around it is falling down. No restaurant or cafe nearby (under renovation), just a very basic shop for evening meal. Very nice man on deli counter though!
Charming little place. Nice rooms, quiet and set back, good little kitchenette, good facilities. Nice reception. Generous snacks and breakfast options in the reception to serve yourself.
