Nothing really. Its not the Ritz but so well worth staying and investigating prior to a Death Valley visit or after

Its location location location such a unique and interesting place. An Historic one horse town with a great quaint Museum, Crowbar Cafe and Saloon.

The town is very small and the only place to eat was closed the night we arrived! The shop near the hotel did have some snacks available,!

Our room had been recently refurbished and was very clean. The location was perfect for our visit to death valley, which was an amazing experience.

Location, close to death valley loop without costing an arm and a leg. Easy to park, good restaurant across the street. Pit fire outside. Basic breakfast included

No soundproofing between rooms. Next door arrived late and talked until after midnight - I could hear every word. Expensive.

Outside could have used a bit more curb appeal but the fire pits are a great touch.

Room was nicely decorated and cozy. Shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water (needed after hiking all day in DV).

We had room 28, and we were by the sewage part of the motel where a lot of black flies were but hardly noticeable. Didn't bother much, which is understandable why they were there. The room was very sealed off to keep them out. Other than that, I'm definitely coming again for a whole weekend, loved this place.

Hands down, this is a hidden gem. I loved everything about it. Everything was close by. The natural warm spring pool was amazing. The owner was kind and had great hospitality. Clean and comfortable room, amazing comfortable bed. Great location.

From the outside, it looks very unassuming, but the room was very modern, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The bedding was upscale and very comfortable. Access to the hot springs-fed pool down the road was a nice extra!

The breakfast. It was a bit unclear how it worked. There were some bagels and cream cheese in the fridge and some bad coffee. There was only one toaster and a lot of people so we just gave up and left. Walls are thin but it is pretty quiet except when people come and go and wasn't a problem for us.

We stayed here on our way out of Death Valley. You really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere and then there is this hotel, a gas station with some food, and a restaurant. The restaurant across the street was closed when we were there which was unfortunate but about 7 miles away (on a straight easy road) was the most delicious BBQ I have ever had at Tecopa Brewing Company. That was one of the highlights of our whole trip. The motel had a pool a short drive or walk away that was thermal. A bit dated but fine. Bed was comfortable, heater kept us warm. Coffee and fridge in room.

This is a rather plain motel style setting, but the rooms are well kept up, and the charm of the staff overcomes any limitations.

Small, clean, comfortable motel outside Death Valley National Park. Shoshone is an interesting town, and lots of birding, hot springs and other things to do. Staff is welcoming and very helpful about everything from where to get a bite to eat, to best birding sites. And don’t miss the desert tortoise enclosure out back.

Me being a person who loves authentic and real places both in town spirit and its people. I have quite an easy going personality, so this place had absolutely “nothing” wrong with it:)

The location was very unique and quite peaceful due to it’s beautifully remote location. The night sky was Incredible.

We liked everything. But if I have to nitpick, it would’ve been nice if the unit was heated before our arrival. It was a cold night, and it took some time for the spacious cottage to become warm.

We stayed in a cottage. It was clean, spacious and well equipped.

Restaurant opposite was closed so we had to drive 15min to get to somewhere for dinner, but “the Steak and Beer” restaurant we found was fabulous…very unique!

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Lots of parking, shop next door very well stocked. Breakfast was self service, bagels, fruit and yoghurts. Very remote location, saw coyotes right outside

    See above.

I’m going to be honest. I’m a little torn about how to review. The facility itself is super nice. It’s been renovated and is very clean. However, I’m very upset with the communication from the Inn. One of the main roads to reach the hotel was closed. We had to detour over 2 HOURS to reach the hotel only for there to be no food because the restaurant was ALSO closed. Nearest food was 20 minutes away. Now - every other hotel on our trip messaged us multiple times for various reasons. This hotel could (and should) have messaged us ahead of time to let us know about road and restaurant closures and that basically the ENTIRE town was shut down. We could have made a decision to cancel or not. As it was, by the time we found out, it was too late, and no refunds would be given. Just super disappointed in the staff service and communication. 2/10

Pool was a disappointment. The walk up a road next to the school was ok. The pool is shared with the RV park. It is very small and needs a good clean. It had algae in it and rather stagnant. No working chairs to sit on and very rudimentary changing facilities? No toilets. The fence around it is falling down. No restaurant or cafe nearby (under renovation), just a very basic shop for evening meal. Very nice man on deli counter though!

Charming little place. Nice rooms, quiet and set back, good little kitchenette, good facilities. Nice reception. Generous snacks and breakfast options in the reception to serve yourself.

No fault of hotel- but no restaurants available in town at the time, only in next town 30mins away. This is a temporary issue.

Oasis in the desert, very well equipped and maintained. Microwave and coffee machine in room, beds very comfortable, sizeable room and lovely bathroom. Breakfast was a lovely extra offering.
