Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaSeems like there's no staff! Room service didn't exist! I had to go to the front dest for things theroom should have provided extras of, like blankets, tissues, and towels. There were only 2 places to get food from, and they were sold out of things every kid wants like pizza.
The hotel is kid friendly, so the kids always have something to do

United States of AmericaI didn’t like the fact that you had to pay for daily parking when you’re staying at the hotel I think that the parking should be free for guest that is staying at the Showboat hotel.

United States of AmericaThe air conditioning in our room stopped working the first night. The furniture is very outdated. There weren’t too many outlets. The ice machine did not work. The linen on the bed was very thin of poor quality.
The staff was helpful and friendly. Amanda at the front desk was amazing and professional

FinlandIt's old, faded and feels generally neglected outside of the rooms (which are good). They closed the casino, which I didn't know, and this is a more slots and kids vibe than anything else. Parking costs about $26 a night which is crazy.
Nice room with sea view.

United States of AmericaOnly 2 restaurants in the actual hotel and the are basically pizza and burgers, and the room wasn't that clean. There was reddish hair in the shower. I prepared for that based on the reviews, so I cleaned the room when I arrived.

United States of AmericaThe price of the tickets were way too much. I spent over $70 for the tickets for one day and then it went down to $49 the next day, but I don’t feel you should have to pay each day. You’re staying there as long as your guest in the hotel, it should be included in the first price of your night of your stay in your room if you are outside guest, then you should have to pay each day you come in but as long as you’re staying there, it should be free for you to enter the waterpark once you pay one time
The location was good. I like the fact that they did build an indoor waterpark for everyone for the adults and the kids, but I feel bad once you buy your ticket and you’re staying there. You should have access to the waterpark every day as long as you’re staying in the hotel if you’re outsiders coming in then of course you should pay each day you come in the hotel is very old. The rugs could use washing and vacuuming daily. It was stains in the rugs, the hallways didn’t smell clean The rug smell like an old mop my mirror in the bathroom was broken. The bed had no mattress cover underneath the sheets. It was just a pure mattress which also had stains on it with the sheet on top of it way more restaurants that need to be open, catering to children and adults, and they need way more staff to help out and answer questions when people have questions

United States of AmericaThe hotel should offer breakfast. Also, the waterpark and the pool were closed so my kids didn’t get to do any water activities. Also, parking was $25 a day.
This is a great hotel to stay at if you’re traveling with children. There was so much to do to keep them occupied. There was an Arcade, mini golf, roller skating, mini bowling, and a really nice Go-Kart track. The rooms were a nice size and up to date. The bed was comfy and the pillows were soft. I will certainly be going back.

United States of AmericaI didn’t like the fact that the adult park was completely gone. No warm water, too many kids everywhere. Also Sunday the day to check out the elevators went down and couldn’t get back upstairs to get my girlfriend who had luggage and had to take the stairs from the 20th floor. That was a disaster.
I liked the waterpark

United States of AmericaThere were some issues with checking in. We were originally given a standard king room without being told that the House of Blues Suites Junior Suites were being renovated and were surprised to see the standard room when opening the door. When going back down to the front desk we were told that the suite shouldn't have been available for booking online. Another employee overhead the conversation and said the rooms were available. We were then given the correct room we booked. Just some communication to the front desk staff and transparency with guests would have prevented the issue from happening.
The location is great with lots of attractions in walking distance in the area. We booked a House of Blues Suite that has a unique vibe with the decor. Loved the layout of the room and had plenty of towels and toiletries. The room was in a quiet section of the hotel. We basically had the floor to ourselves.

United States of AmericaStaff was a bit rude. It is a non-smoking hotel but had many areas that reeked of marijuana. Although the hotel room was clean, the common areas (hallways, elevators, etc) were outdated and filthy looking. They charged a $175 security deposit at checkin for a one night stay (2 adults, no kids, no pets).
The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The view of the ocean was amazing.

United States of AmericaThey don’t serve breakfast until 11 which is legit the time you check out. They barely have ANY food options available unlike the other hotels who have wonder array of restaurants and casual dining. We legit walked next door to the ocean for late night snacks and breakfast because this place just has nothing to offer food wise. It’s also a hotel without a Casio so there are a TON of kids and the halls ways are usually filled of running and screaming kids. I wanted to save money coming down on the weekend but next time I’ll just pay the extra and stay at the ocean. I won’t have to walk for food and I won’t be bothered by yelling in my room.
The arcade is super cool and open until 2 on weekends so it really gives you more to do than gamble late at night
