The entrance onto the beach difficult from the ramp. No ice machine in tower building. Breakfast was ok.

The weather! haha. No, really - because of the bad weather we spent a lot of time in the room. So, the only suggestion I have is to arrange seating for 2 so you can watch TV comfortably. My husband did NOT like to watch TV fully dressed and propped up in the bed. The one chair and ottoman were not at an angle to see the TV screen very well. There was no table to place your glass near the chair either. Just suggestions to make it more comfortable. Thank you.

Good size balcony with andirondak chairs & table on the balcony with an ocean view. Comfortable beds! Great service from the staff, who went out of their way to help me gain access to wifi.

The breakfast offerings were a bit lacking especially the Thursday morning meal. Very strange eggs and no meat(bacon or sausage missing?)...

The location, atmosphere, and welcoming spirit were all pluses.

Breakfast was very basic. Room description was somewhat misleading - "facing the pool" was also facing the street. Shower curtain was dirty. Poor noise insulation - you could hear the tv in the adjacent room or guests talk/sneeze. Alarm clock went off early morning in adjacent room that had been vacated the day before. It woke us up and went on and on for a while before someone turned it off.

We went in the off season and it was a little cool. Property is a little older. You do have to hike up and down a dune to get to the beach. For the older people or people with younger children access to something that could help transport onto or off of the beach would be nice. There is an elevator in the tower portion. It is on the front. It’s still a great experience and was thankful to be close to the beach. Would have appreciated being able to rent carts or electric devices etc to get around (bonus not a demand on the property.)

Clean, renovated, friendly staff. You can purchase some of the items in your room if you want. You can tip the housekeepers. They provided daily care for the rooms. The breakfast involved a continental style breakfast. They have nicer luggage carts. Private beach. This is a nicer hotel than 2 stars, quite frankly. Would stay again. Love the shutters vs curtains which tend to look gross in most hotels. Nice balcony. All around impressive.

Our room 219 was right at the staircase where everyone would pass it,kind of noisy.

Location is right on the beach, close to a few good restaurants. Beds were comfortable, and housekeeping available every day.Breakfast had a variety of food for everybody's taste in my family. As waffle making machine, variety of yogurt, pastry,eggs,decent coffee. If you would like to see the ocean from your balcony room, it needs to be on the 3rd or 4th floor. We paid for dune view, and the price was fair.

The refrigerator in the breakfast room was not cold enough so the milk seemed warm. The next day the yogurt was not cold enough to feel safe to eat. The hot tub was nice but water looked oily when the movement stopped.

The breakfast was not great. We stayed here years ago and it was much better. We paid for ocean view but on the 3rd floor could only see a dune and distant water, no beach.

I can't find anything that I didn't like about our stay.

Shutters on the Bank was very clean, quiet, and relaxing. I will definitely be booking again with my family! We've found our go to spot whenever we travel to OBX! The front desk staff were friendly and the room service staff were friendly!

Wish we could have stayed another night but not possible.

Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great. Couldn't walk on beach since it was Thanksgiving Day. Visited with son who lives in KDH so very close.
