My bathroom didn't have curtains/blinds, so I felt a little bit exposed in the morning(!) and the fridge/freezer was a little noisy but that's it.

An absolute gem of a place. The décor is in keeping with the age of this guest house, built in the late 19th century. Possibly a bit overdone, but certainly not overpowering. The room was cosy, the bed was super comfortable and parking was a doddle. The main town is a short stroll away with plenty of high quality eateries nearby and I was able to borrow an umbrella as it was raining. The 24/7 tea station was put to good use on my arrival! The lady with whom I dealt with was very hospitable and knowledgeable. At night, I could occasionally hear the whistle of a freight train some miles distant, but for me personally, it added to the charm of the location. The breakfast selection was just right as were the portions. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone who needs a comfy, homely place to stay.

The not-so-private bathroom is not too great. We had to get out of the room to use the bathroom. However, it's expected to be like that based on the house's layout.

The decorations and the fact that the Victorian theme is well-maintained from the original are amazing. The bed is surprisingly firm enough and the pillows are good too.

I couldn't find the thermostat to adjust the temperature in my room. So it was difficult to get a good night's sleep. Perhaps I just missed it. That might be on me!

Pam and Jim were delightfully friendly and helpful. Pam made a yummy breakfast to order. People who raced out in the morning missed out!

My husband and I booked a last minute Babymoon get away for Christmas weekend before our baby comes in the new year and we’re over joyed by our stay! Was absolutely magical, the Inn was more beautiful then the photos, breakfast was exceptional, and we are now officially Tea people. Have already recommended to several others, and can’t wait to book a Murder Mystery event with them in the future!!

Literally everything. This is my second stay at the inn and we loved it. The blue room was fantastic with the fireplace and private bathroom. As always the bed is super comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast in the tea room and I sat in the front entry enjoying coffee in the sun.

My only disappointment was that restaurants were not within our walking distance, but that may be age-related.

This Victorian house and the gardens are magnificent. Well furnished in historic style, the room had every comfort needed. The breakfast had choices for everyone, served beautifully. We would definitely go again.

We had such a relaxing weekend here. Pam and Jim are so welcoming. Breakfast every morning was delicious, and it was great to have access to coffee and a great selection of teas throughout the day. The Victorian home and decor make for a unique stay, and I'm interested in checking out their afternoon teas and murder mystery experiences in the future. The location is also fantastic - super close to downtown Dover and easy to drive around the seacoast area.

This is kind of a silly thing, but there are so many lovely outdoor spaces to enjoy and I wondered why all the annual hanging baskets were allowed to die. There were cute teapots with flowers in them, but they needed watering. However, the flowering shrubs were beautiful.

We loved all the historic decor and the cozy spaces on all floors to enjoy so many lovely teas. So relaxing.
