This was the second time we stayed here. We love the location, the starry skies, the patio outside our room, and the fabulous breakfasts. Candy communicated with us ahead of time and was able to make delicious breakfasts and handle my food allergies. She went above and beyond to take great care of us.

No complaints at all. Everything was great.

Cozy location, very quiet and peaceful. We stayed in the Casita tiny home cabin. It’s just right for 2 people. Clean and comfortable. Loved seeing the stars at night…what a treat! And you won’t find a better homemade breakfast in Escalante!

The fact that we were only able to spend one night there

The accomodations were amazing, surpassed only by the attentiveness of the staff. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant and it was an amazing experience, both in terms of the ambience and views as well as the food. The location of facility provides an incredible nighttime stargazing experience as well!

This was great! The food and service are excellent. The location is convenient to the highway and to the town of Escalante. We were in transit from St George to Great Basin National Park and this is about half way there. You can see many birds and other animals right on the property. It was very peaceful there.

Many flies in summer, though fortunately they mostly swarmed around the car and didn’t come inside. The aforementioned cat snuck into the trunk while we were loading the van and we nearly drove off with a new pet cat by mistake.

The Slot Canyons Inn strikes an excellent balance of feeling like an inn while also feeling like a home. Joette was incredibly friendly and was always happy to tell us about the history of the inn and the site (seriously, ask her about it, it goes back way further than the inn itself), and Candy makes an excellent breakfast. There is also an incredibly friendly cat on the ranch who will demand to be petted at every opportunity. The land the inn sits on is gorgeous and worth taking a stroll on during down time. At least make time to go see the petroglyphs. It’s an excellent place to stay if you’re going exploring in Grand Staircase, and it’s also excellent for relaxing in the inn all day.

... and it turned out to be a mistake. My originally booked room wouldn't be available so I was offered a different, bigger room (I was alone, mind you, so that wasn't a factor) - and (verbally) promised that "I'm going to give you the same rate as you had" by the morning-shift/breakfast lady. Which was lovely, I thought of it as a birthday gift -- I had a really good daily rate ("Genius level 3" here). Unfortunately, that's not what happened. I was charged ongoing daily rate for that room, which was almost 70$ more per night. See, if I knew the rate would be so much higher - maybe I'd still stay, maybe I'd find something else in town (there's a Prospector Inn with a daily rate of 87$, good for one-nighter). That's not the case. The case is really - I feel cheated. I was even thinking "should I apply for a chargeback with my bank", but decided it not worth the hassle. It's a good place - but only, only, only book via booking.com, and don't ask for stay extensions. You'll be sorely hurt and your experience will be tarnished.

Quiet B&B in a lovely area of Escalante. Bryce Canyon NP is about an hour away, but if you head the other way you have scenic highway 12, Burr Trail road (highly recommend), Devils Backbone brigde - so much more to see here than Bryce. Room was a proper size, and it was pretty quiet (nice experience compared to all faceless Hiltons and Marriotts). Good quality bath amenities, jaccuzzi in the room, separate shower. Rural neighbourhood, you feel like in the Little House on the Prairie. And there's cows and super friendly dog that wants to play with you. It was so nice that - it was my birthday that day - I decided to stay for the 3rd day...

Since we were not greeted in person (key to room left at desk), could not find ice. Also some sandburs were in the rug that we stepped on while barefooted.

There were very few restaurants in town to choose from. I know that the owner is building their own restaurant and that will really improve the overall experience.
