There is some noise from the El, but I very quickly got used to it.

A weekly or fortnightly clean-up with a resupply of toiletries and other things like that would be great, as there was no service whatsoever through the whole month i was there.

The location is great, I had one of the rooms at the back, so couldn't hear the train or any other street noises. The fact that has a kitchen, washing machine and dryer made it very easy for me to do a normal routine and manage without a humongous amount of clothes.

The windows are old and let a lot of noise in. I stayed in properties with newer windows in this area before and the noise was not so bad.

The best of this property is location. Straight at the city center, very convenient access to tourist attractions.

Below the accommodation there is a smoking club. The second hand smoke seeps thought the flooring and come into the apartment all times of the day. Also you could hear the train but it's not very loud and generally not a nuisance

Although the issues I will describe in this section didn’t make our stay poorer, I want to approach them as some improvements to be done. At the end of the day, we enjoyed having these very urban components during our stay, but they can be a major issue depending on the person. 1. The metro line is in front of the building and the trains pass almost all day and night, with more distances between each train at night. So there is a constant noise. For us, as I said above, was a charming feature for living in a very well located position of a big city. But if it was a longer stay or for people with sleeping issues, the noise can become an issue. 2. The clarity in the rooms were good during the day, but bad at night. They don’t have a blackout type of curtain, making the light of the city coming through their thin curtains. This is definitely something to be improved in order to offer more comfort for the guests. 3. Lastly, since is an old building with renovated apartments, I thought that the common areas and elevator carpets were a bit poorly maintained. The smell coming from the cigar shop in the second floor might also be an issue for sensitive guests, but it didn’t bother us, since it was not getting inside the apartment, but it was strong in the common areas.

We usually review accommodations using pros and cons. But I want to express that we had a great stay overall. The location was amazing, close to everything and to many transportations modalities. The apartment is simply but nicely decorated and renovated, with big windows that allows clarity to enter the apartment. The staff and Sonders app were useful and attentive. They don’t have somebody there all day, but almost all our requirements were addressed quickly. Beds and pillows were super comfy, an important component in choosing a place (they are leaning towards the firm not the soft ones, which we appreciate them more). Kitchen was well equipped and we manage to cook breakfast often. Many restaurants and attractions at a walking distance. A great stay, with a few improvements to be done.

The noise from the passing trains didn't bother us at all and became quite a relaxing background sound. However, if you wanted to watch TV you'd struggle occasionally to hear while a train was passing.

We stayed in the one-bedroom apartment which had beautiful huge windows looking onto the main street and overlooking the L train station. It was a gorgeous place to sit in the window and watch the city and trains go by. There was a big closet for storage and useful having a washer and dryer available. The bed was comfy. The shower was very spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed and some coffee was provided. Everything felt clean and fresh. The check-in process was very simple and convenient.

The noise from the train was so loud, we could barely sleep with earplugs and eye masks.

Carpet hadn't been cleaned in a while and the bathroom lacked any place to hang towels - ended up in the bedroom drying by hangers. I'd also recommend a small side table for coffee or cocktails in the living area.

Location was great. Walking distance to public trans within a block. Full kitchen and laundry was excellent. Large bathroom and comfortable beds.

We did not receive the code for entrance, lift and apartment so only for the kindness of a gentleman who was visiting cigar shop below us, we would have been really stuck!! Cigar salon below our apartment and smell pervaded ours, especially in bathroom. We also had two deposits taken from account which has not been resolved yet.

Location was great, right in the heart of the loop. Trains were noisy but we had white noise machines which worked perfectly to cancel out the noise. Apartment was lovely, spacious and well equipped.

I didn't like that they changed the access codes last minute (20 minutes before the agreed upon check in time). Considering that check out was until 11am, I didn't appreciate receiving texts and emails questioning me about what time precisely I was checking out.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable, great location, very convenient. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare simple meals.

There wasn’t very much sunlight during the day, and the subway passing by was a bit loud at times.

The location was unbeatable, and the provisions were well-stocked. The room design was also perfect and we appreciated the amenities.

Minor issues only. A plug for the kitchen sink would have been good. And customers who had been smoking in the Cigar Bar on Floor 2 left the only elevator smelling of cigar smoke.

Location was superb. Right in the centre of the city, walking distance to all the major sights and 60m from an Elevated Train stop in the Loop. Place was exceptionally clean and tidy. Several bars with excellent service and food nearby.

It’s located next to a train line and some other business so it’s noisy even at night. The rooms should have another set of windows to have it better (noise) isolated. To be fair they offer white noise machines but personally, I like silence. The check in process was clear but it would help to send the process with pictures.

The location is great. The Appartment was really good and had everything I needed. All new and well equipped.

The shower faucet is a bit old fashion, we need to turn it from cold to hot each time.

It is a nice place to stay with a kitchen and washing machine. No need to check in and check out. We received the pin for the entry few days before we stay. We love this room with plenty of space.

The overhead fan in the bedroom area has a light and it's not possible to turn off the light without also turning off the fan. It would have been nice to have the option to leave the fan running at night. The only other issue was a wooden piece under the bed that was in a perfect spot to hit with your foot. I stubbed my toe on it at least 3 times.

We were thrilled with our stay. I ended up getting sick so the fact that everything was contactless made it a great place to recover. The app made checking in early for a fee easy and I used it to contact support to get an extra blanket to keep warm on the couch, which arrived within a couple hours. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The location was also great - really close to the Art Institute.

It is noisy being so close to the train. Cigar shop in the complex meant it did smell of smoke. TV had very limited channels. Entrance to the apartment was quite small and hard to find.

The only small negative detail is the noise, which I am sure is not fully controllable by the management, because is due to the city noise from the outside. But surely those noises have woken me up a couple of times per night, every night. So, probably, some more interventions to soundproof the windows would make these apartment even more comfortable.

Soder apartments are in the centre of the city, super close to the train and to the principal attractions. The place was very clean and nicely decorated, and had all the necessary for a stay of any lenght. I loved the ease of checking in and access building, elevator and room just by using the codes received by email.
