Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United States of AmericaAn elevator - my room was on the 6th floor. Only stairs to get up there!
Very compact, clean, and a good price. The Sonder app worked easily.

AustraliaI couldn’t watch the tv for my whole stay as I didn’t have the appropriate device, of which I had no idea to bring . Poor information. I had to sleep in the same bed linen for the entire time of my stay . I got fresh towels one hour before checking out. Also no note of six flights of stairs or n my booking..
The bed was comfortable and bathrooms were clean.

United States of AmericaIt may have been operator error but I struggled with how to use the coffee maker. Also the coffee maker needs some cleaning.
The room was modern and everything worked well. I liked the mini fridge. I loved the location. I was in walking distance of most tourist attractions. It was close to other restaurants, coffee shops and bars. It was easy to fill up my water bottle at the several filling stations and get any extra items (tp, coffee stuff, wash clothes etc) without having to contact anyone.

United States of AmericaIf I had to nitpick, it would be the noise levels and lack of toothpaste. I could hear other doors open and close, but noise was easily mitigated with earplugs. Another minor point was that I wished there were toothpaste, even if just the tiny 1-2 use tubes.
Loved the space, location, and value! I came in to a hand written note and felt at ease the entire time I was there.

AustraliaNo elevator which was hard for getting our suitcases up the stairs. Otherwise it didn’t bother us for walking up and down, helped us get our steps in.
It was a cute space. I loved that you had your key code so that you didn’t have to try and remember room keys.

SwitzerlandIt is not really a hotel. No staff present, no services, no TV service (there is a TV device, but you have to login with you own accounts for netflix or similar). It felt empty and lonely. It was pretty disappointing for me.
Room is modern and clean, but much smaller than it appears on the pictures. Location is good, walking distance to many nice restaurants and bars.

Everything. Great location, amazingly clean and obviously well managed. I would stay in this Sonder again without any hesitation.

ItalyConsidering the price the size of the rooms is unacceptable, it’s ok for one persone but not for 2 even with small bags, I can’t even imagine with big ones, there’s simply no space. Shower in the room and the same for the bathroom. Insane wi-fi led that makes sleeping impossible. I had to cover it with 2 band-aids. No elevator or luggage lifting that’s crazy if someone has big suitcases. I saw people resting half way on the stairs.
The building is beautiful, extremely clean and comfortable with all the services, water refill, coffee, tea, napkins etc. Luggage storage, very useful. Comfortable bed, big shower, tv. Amazing location, Capitol Hill is the real Seattle with lot of restaurants, bars, pubs, bookstores etc, simply great. It’s also just 20 min from downtown walking, very close to the train and bus station.

AustraliaThe only improvement would be a lift to get heavy suitcase up three flights of stairs but not a huge deal.
Beautiful property it was immaculate like it had just been newly built or renovated. Spotless and all the details were thought through. Amazing bed, linens etc. refills accessible for tea, coffee, sugar, water refills, instant hot water. Great shower and toiletries. Lovely place to stay.

Australiarooms are very small - book the ones with a balcony for a bit more space (which we had). Noisy neighbourhood and under the flight path - use earplugs or the white noise machine. Neighbourhood is convenient to the city with great food and bars but still a bit sketchy
exceptionally clean room with nice touches. Keypad check in is seamless

United KingdomEvery limitation was advertised so no real issues. The room was a little small but it was just the job really. Really good location for the price too
The self-service nature is really clever and easy, the room was just what we needed - if a little small for two of us!

United States of AmericaThere was no elevator and only had stairs which sucks when you're tired from walking around all day and stayed on the 5th floor. We also only had two towels and when we went to the cabinet in the hallway and there were none.
Loved the location, it's in a safer area around tons of shops and restaurants! It was super clean as well. We never felt unsafe either, and loved that the doors locked behind us coming into the building!

CanadaHard surfaces everywhere on the entry level. Nothing to deaden sound so the noise level was high especially after midnight. Late night clients that do not attempt to be quiet share all their noise throughout the entry level(2nd floor) it was quite disturbing as all sound reverberated throughout the floor. Something to absorb sound would assist in reducing this noise

IcelandIt would have been nice if we did not have to move twice and could have stayed in the other room.
Modern, stylish, comfortable and clean room. We had a clogged toilet and after calling their customer service, they put us in the room across the hallway until it would be fixed.

CanadaThe beds are only a double size, which was fairly comfortable but quite small for a couple.
The building is very central and close to so many different shops, bars and restaurants. The keypad entry was easy to use and simple with the Sonder app. The room itself was small but sufficient for small stays. As others mentioned the shower is right in the room so you’ll want to be comfortable that. We stayed on the 5th floor and it was a little walk up but not terrible. Every floor had a water dispenser. No complaints about noise. There is no parking on site but there the Harvard parkade across the street that we parked overnight for. We had to prepay for both days and used credit card. Was a little worried as the parkade was easily accessible to public but ended up having no issues.

United States of AmericaAlthough well thought out, room was a bit too tight and it was hard even to keep a couple of cabin friendly suitcases open. Portable ac unit was a bit noisy
Very smart concept to keep costs low. Cool vibe. Great to have free self service water fountain. Great to be able to access your streaming accounts from tv.

SwitzerlandThe location was amazing, I also did not have too much trouble with any noise. The temperature regulation was a bit difficult since the AC was extremely loud and unusable during the night and having the window open was not an option due to noise. The room is small but has basically everything it needs.

IsraelThey don't offer housekeeping services at all, which is probably not an issue if you're staying for a short period of time. However, if you travel for almost two weeks like I did, it would have been nice to have the room cleaned at least once. Also, I arrived three hours early after a very long flight and asked for an early check in. I've been told that the only option to request and pay for early check in is through the app. Unfortunately they had some trouble with it that day and although there was a stuff member at the premises, and I was willing to pay in any method they prefer, they simply refused saying it was "against protocol", although the room was free and available. This was a bit disappointing.
The location is great. Plenty of food places and bars within a walking distance. Realfine coffee just around the corner is probably one of the best places in Seattle to get coffee. The light train station is about 10 minutes walk, which made getting to work and exploring the city easier. The room was comfortable. However if you not travel alone, note that the shower is open to the room.

United KingdomSometimes there was a bit of noise because it is a house that has been turned into a number of individual rooms.
A secure and separate room in a house that was clean and efficient. It had everything that was needed and well supported by the staff who looked after the Sonder house. It is quite well located with plenty of food places and bars near by and downtown was accessible by tram, bus or even walking.

New ZealandCan't think of a thing! Probably would have been good to have easier access to the service lift, in was OK, but out it was harder as I made the mistake of visiting Twice Sold Tales (just up the road) and Magus and who can resist a great book (or half dozen). Luggage lockers are a great idea - you can get in, chill in the lounge until 4pm when your room is ready, and/or store your bag and go explore. Really well thought through.
This is a property for the FIT - independence being the operative word. I really liked it - great location within 5 minutes walk of superb coffee (recommend Realfine just around the corner) and everything else typical of Capitol hill e.g. late night vintage store, music venues, Amazon beta store. Light rail is just up the hill, and it's an easy downhill walk into the downtown area. Everything you need is in your room. Sure they're small, but so well designed that you don't notice. As a solo traveller it's perfect, not so sure for a couple (the loo and shower are IN the room pretty much and it's cosy), however for a family or unrelated, you'll likely be happier in your own rooms. There is a service lift if you ring, otherwise you'll have to hulk your bags up the stairs. IOW it's not for anyone with mobility issues. I was on level 4, which is 2 above the street - it was fine. My room had a bay window which added precious space and an interesting view of the locals. Noise was OK, either people are reading the reviews and being considerate (thank you) or there wasn't any. Didn't need the complimentary plugs or white noise machine. If you're all about the human touch or service forget it - there isn't any. This is a zero human contact situation. Like I said - FIT. Your room has instructions for resetting your fuse and a plunger for the loo just in case - and a corkscrew. Proper attention to detail. Loved the cosy throw, nice toiletries - they've thought through what we really really want and need, and have kept it simple to keep the price down - big ups to the Sonder.

New ZealandWhile we loved the compact nature of the room where every square inch was made use of it was a bit tricky finding room for both suitcases.
Great location a few metres from a main street with buses. Realfine coffee just around the corner plus an Amazon Fresh for food supplies. The staff were very friendly and helpful. loved the modern fit out e.g. lighting, electronic door lock. Little pod coffee machine was good. Hot & cold water stations in the hallways were good. The communal lounge at the entrance is great, plus the luggage lockers if you get there early and need to store your stuff. There is also a bike room with space to hold four bikes hanging up.
