Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaConstruction is going on, but honestly, it wasn't a deterant, and the hotel did warn you prior to booking.

United States of Americaparking fee seems high, and asking for a tip on the parking form at the beginning of the stay is weird. No cable TV was a challenge; small TV was so far from the headboard of the bed that we could neither read the closed captioning nor turn it loud enough to hear it w/o disturbing neighbors.

United KingdomI think the rooms could be updated and cleaning should be included in the price.
I love the location of the hotel. Transport was easily accessible and the various shops that were in walking distance from the hotel. The room was spacious although I thought it could have been updated but it was very clean which calmed my anxiety. The staff were helpful and friendly. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

United KingdomThe hotel was clean, from reception to corridors but not too happy with the room. Hairs was everywhere, sink was dirty, the wall in the toilet have blood stain that I had to clean myself. Towels are not enough, so I had to asked for another one in reception.
The pool was lovely, warm & clean & loads of towel available. Comfy beds & good wifi, staffs are accommodating & loads of free coffee & tea in reception with microwave too.

United KingdomNothing bad to say. 😃
The staff were amazing. The girl, sorry I forgot to get her name, was working the desk herself, but was so kind and helpful. I am very grateful to her. Sorry, I was rushing to grab a flight and never got to say thank you properly. Gorgeous room, with amazing products to use. It had everything you would need for a stay without having to call down. I didn't try the restaurant, but it seemed very popular. Wish I had a chance to use the facilities, but I'll def use this hotel next time I'm in LA.

AustraliaThe shower took a while to warm up. There was no shelving inside the shower too, I had to put my toiletries on the floor.
Had the comfiest bed. It was surprisingly so soft which made it easy to fall asleep despite construction. Also construction wasn’t as loud as expected when inside room.

ChileSlamming doors: The room assigned to me (A132) was highly noisy due to emergency exit, doors for service staff, elevator and connecting hall to the restaurant, all of this around that room. I woke up several times because of slamming doors.
Facilities in general were fine and even cool with its huge pool and the airplanes flying over it.

United States of AmericaThe security would just slam the doors in the middle of the night, the front desk or cleaning ladies being loud speaking or with music at 7am…
Loved the property. Very clean. Never had the smell of smoke like other locations. You need a passcode or your phone to open your room door or even get inside the hotel.

United States of AmericaMy room. Three night no sleep in B 208 and that was my second time asking not to be in there. Other than that I love this place. Also wish they accommodated monthly stays as I’ve been here since January. When you call Sonder they are no help with assisting whatever problem I had or even offer a discount. They need to get it together.

DenmarkThe parking was incredibly expensive. Park at one of the malls instead! The walls were very thin - which means you can hear everything going on in the other rooms. There was no room service, which would have been nice if this was listed clearly, when we booked the room
The aesthetic was very nice - clean, modern and chique. Room was huge and clean! The staff was very friendly as well. There was barely any noise from construction site or the planes above. The pool looked lovely - didn’t use it though.

United States of AmericaThe power in the bathroom was cut when I tried to use the hairdryer. I let the front desk know and they already knew this was an issue in that particular room so maybe they should fix it or put in a hairdryer that doesn’t blow the fuse.

United States of AmericaAbsolutely loved it at Sonder Lum, Inglewood! The Lum’s a boutique hotel of upscale quality with a low budget price tag. I booked a room for my husband’s 50th birthday celebration and stayed there for 5 days while we enjoyed the events and going ons in LA. The staff were so accommodating and helpful. The original room was located right next to the elevator and after requesting a separate room the girls at the front went out of their way to make it a comfortable stay, and getting us settled in a new room. Wendy and Rolanda (?- young tall lady with glasses) were always there to make sure our needs were met. My husband left his laptop in the 1st room, and it was still there when he went back for it. On his actual birthday a small package with a card was left in the room to surprise him. It wasn’t much but the thought and gesture was priceless. Now, I did get charged more for the relocation BUT, upon questioning it and letting them know I wasn’t made aware of extra charges, they informed me that it was a mistake and they would be reimbursing my $. UPDATE:::: EVERY SINGLE PENNY THAT WAS MISTAKENLY CHARGED, WAS REIMBURSED. THANK YOU!! We also had some issues with the generated code for entry to our room, but again, the staff made up for it. At night the security guard, Ken was full of joy and it was just a pleasure coming back to the hotel. Your staff is your image, and in your case, Lum, they are the reason I’ll book a stay there again in the future. Thank you all for a wonderful stay!
