Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Perhaps another chair in the living room? We had to use the dining chair to watch TV some of the time. Other than that, it was really nice. I didn't see any check out instructions, so just left.
Location was great! Once there, we were able to walk wherever we went. It was a nice place! Very clean and modern. The kitchen was stocked with whatever we needed if we wanted to cook.

Parking was a bit of a problem. The garage was quite a distance and there was no place to park to drop off our luggage. However, the location was excellent for sightseeing

Everything was perfect in the apartment. In one bedroom the door wouldn’t close and the light switch didn’t work. But, I couldn’t imagine maintaining a 100+ year old house so didn’t mind.
Wow, this place was huge for a low price, right on Boughton st. Super nice remodel with original brick walls and pine floors. Not much for noise except the front room facing the street. The back 2 rooms were mostly quiet. Incredible experience in Savannah.

Can’t think of anything
Fantastic location. Super clean. Huge 3 bedrooms all en-suited & spacious with a 4th large bathroom close to the sitting room which could work for a 4th couple. All bedrooms are located away from each other so very private.

My only complaint would be that there wasn't much of a view from our apartment.
Great location! The apartment was clean and comfortable. Price was extremely reasonable compared to other hotels nearby.

The access to building door was not locked because they were doing work …somewhere. Was nice. It to have to enter code but could have been more secure feeling with it locked
Huge space each bedroom had beautiful bathroom attached and all away from each other. Kitchen superb loved the decor and perfect location. The place was super super clean, well stocked. Best place that I have stayed at in years.

Location was also a negative thing because the delivery trucks at 5am in the alley were terrible. They supply a sound machine and ear plugs but it still woke up our 8mo baby (sound machine turned waaay up didn't help). Would not recommend for young children. Water pressure was awful - cannot take a quick shower because it takes forever to get wet and rinse off. Also, we did not buy olive oil because email said it was supplied, however, we did not find any.
Apartment was clean and spacious. Updated bathrooms, kitchen, and decor. Location was on the main street and close to everything. I requested a pack and play for our baby to sleep in and it was there when we arrived.

The TV had crackly speakers. The coffee pot was also very outdated

Parking was very far away. Very noisy at night with loud music from a club or bar. Even though the apartment was empty we weren’t allied to check in until 4pm

The parking was a little difficult to adjust too as the unit didn't have a dedicated spot.

It was perfect!!! Perfect location and everything was amazing! We will stay here again! I suggest having someone drop off you and your luggage and go park. The walk isn’t bad but is better without your luggage.

The offer to hold baggage was exciting however, nowhere near the location. We just left our luggage in the car. The parking garage - although the discount is generous - the location with relation to the hotel a walk along brick walk ways that are already at a pitch. If you plan on using the lot, it is easiest to drop your luggage and then headed to the parking lot and walk back.
The place was very welcoming and clean and spacious! The location was very close to shopping, eating and many activities.
