Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandStaffs at the hall could be nicer. A smile or just greetings feels more welcoming. Some said, mostly not.
Location, but DTLA is dirty. Accommodation was nicely designed and clean. A lot of space. Sonder app.

United KingdomNothing. It’s gorgeous.
I can’t recommend this property enough. I booked the king suite, but it was such a great price I had it in my head it was a king room. Nope. I was absolutely gobsmacked at the size of what is essentially a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. Immaculately clean, with a gorgeous, enormous open plan studio for the main sleeping area. I swear it was designed just for me in the style I love. A large fridge freezer, full washer and dryer. It could’ve used a microwave, but really there were plenty of options for dining in the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful to everyone who walked through the door. I got there before my suite was ready so I was directed to the lounge area on the fifth floor. A lovely, huge common area with an outside area. Honestly, everything was amazing about my stay. I will definitely book here again for a longer period when I come to LA again.

United States of AmericaIt didn't bother me, but if you're sensitive to noise this location is near busy streets with road noise.
The location was great! My room had everything I needed to enjoy myself away from home. Loved the motion lights when I walked in at night.

United States of AmericaYou can definitely hear everything from the street even from the seventh floor. Wish the room had dish soap and sponge.
Booked the 2 bedroom, property was clean. Easy to find. The area was not as bad as I expected. Plenty of food trucks for late night eats. Parked in the lots available near by without any problems. The Hilltop Cafe+Kitchen across the street is a great breakfast spot.

GermanyThe room we've got on the 3rd floor was really noisy, as the windows were thin and now quite tight. So it really takes some getting use to. Ear plugs were the only way to sleep. Not sure about the rooms on the other floors, though.
Building and the room are clean and comfortable with a lot of amenities. Check-in and instructions were simple and useful. Friendly staff as well.

AustraliaThe only drawback being the noise from the street right outside the building- would be great if the management considered installing sound proof windows. May not work if you are a light sleeper... Would have certainly been a 5 on 5 otherwise. (we were on the 3rd Floor). The management is clearly aware and have even left a couple of ear plugs and supposedly a white noise machine which was missing in our room.
Loved our stay here! Our Queen studio had everything we wanted. The bed was comfy, a kitchenette with utensils, coffee machine, refrigerator and there were toiletries, washing machine and iron and ironing board amongst other things. Located right in down town LA too. The 5th floor also has an indoor lounge with water and amenities station as well as an outdoor area.. Highly recommended.

MalaysiaIts located between the nice part and not so nice part of downtown. And street noise can be heard from lower floor at night. But not so much a deal breaker.
The room is awesome, I may describe it as an artist's loft. Spacious, well equipped with all kitchen appliances and most importantly, washer & dryer. The bed is so comfy too. The whole check-in and check-out process is almost self-managed which I really like. And they are so thoughtful to arrange lockers for luggage keepsakes, and lounges. Definitely will stay here again or their other properties in the future.

SwitzerlandI didn’t realize there wasn’t an oven, which is my bad. Couldn’t cook the frozen pizza I bought…again, my bad for not checking before shopping.

United States of AmericaThe hotel itself is excellent. There is little more that could be added to improve the experience. Perhaps a hot tub or sauna in the building would be a welcome addition. Overall, for what traveler this hotel is targeting, I think it hit its targeted audience and delivers a great product.
This felt like having my own spacious apartment in downtown Los Angeles. It gave a unique feeling to visiting Los Angeles. The location ended up being great and close to many downtown activities AND a terrific position in the Los Angeles Metro Transit System (especially the 7th street Metro Center). I ended up being able to spend a week in Los Angeles without a car thanks to this good location!!

New ZealandDowntown LA is pretty dirty, and there are lots of homeless people around, which makes you feel uncomfortable walking round being seconded at every corner for money. In saying this, this isn’t a fault of Sonder, and during our stay we witnessed water blasting of the sidewalk and building to keep it clean and tidy, the security is tight (can only enter with a code) and everything was done to make our stay comfortable by staff. The fold out couch we had for one of our guests was also not very comfortable, but this was a minor detail- he found it comfier to sleep on the couch without it.
Clean, tidy, had most of the facilities we needed for our stop over. Only thing missing would be a restaurant/bar but we knew this booking and we were happy with that. Loved the luggage storage for check in/check out, great idea about the essentials locker too, and lounge/gym facilities were very good. Even had a yoga/meditation room that isn’t advertised elsewhere it seems.

GermanyThe neighbourhood is not good, lots of crazy people and homeless. It has the best possible connection to the trains though so you get everywhere pretty fast by train.
The “room” was more of an apartment with a master bedroom/living room/kitchen as well as two separate bathrooms, an office/guest bedroom and a lounge/guest bedroom. There is even a dishwasher, washer and dryer. The entire living unit was beautifully furnished, kitchen and bathrooms were very modern and the bed was comfortable.

United States of AmericaThe windows insulation isn't great. With beds next to window, in a spring season like this in LA, it may still a bit chill during the night. The heater can't bring the room temperature above 68F.
Convenient location, unit with two baths, private kitchen and laundry, are plus for family vacation. It wille be even more convenient if it has microwave like the other Sonder we stayed.
