Some of the appliances and things in the room were dated. Loose door handles, missing top lock (completely unscrewed), closet door kept jamming due to either rust or dirt, the bathtub was probably the worst. It had this weird stain in it as if someone had thrown up in it, imagine how horrified I was when I scratched it off with a Clorox wipe. WHAT REALLY BOTHERED ME, was the staff. The manager working 5/18/2024, was a sweetheart. Very understanding and patient. However, the other folks running the desk were completely unprofessional. As I sat in the lobby awaiting to check in, I overheard from across the room clear as day, an employee asking her coworkers if they had read a recent review the hotel received by an unhappy visitor. Not only was this woman’s language offensive, her tone and demeanor behind what she was saying was completely inappropriate. I understand you get tough customers but there is a time and place to express your “work frustration” and it’s definitely not on the floor with people who can hear how you talk about your patrons. I didn’t catch her name, but she had a couple tattoos and prescription glasses. She wasn’t very welcoming either. This hotel needs a serious customer service training course and a proper work etiquette refresher.

Good location, easily accessible parking and elevators and ice machine. The room was really nice and with a gorgeous view of the bay and SF.

No frills, very standard room, not the room I booked. I booked a king room and ended up with a standard double over looking parkinglot. The room was clean but because it’s an older hotel gave the bathroom specifically the shower was dated and dingy.

Rooms were clean and comfortable . Staff friendly and inviting. Convenient area next to eateries and shopping.

It wasn't as clean as I would have hoped. The bathroom felt like it could've had more attention in getting cleaned.

The parking was easy. The front desk staff was kind when I left. I did feel like the room was pretty clean.

Front desk clerks should always check a reservation to make sure that a customer always gets what they paid for, without having to ask for the prepaid services. Waiters should always remember that they aren't entitled to a tip & when they bill items to someone's room, they need to not bill something that the customer has already paid for.

Breakfast was good. I paid extra at my booking for breakfast. I was given coupons to cover breakfast, but only after I asked for them to honor my prepayment. I took my coupons to get breakfast & the waiter told me the coupons only covered the meal, not the tip. Feeling pressured, I told him to bill a $5.50 tip to my room. He proceeded to bill our breakfasts & tip to my room. Which I had to straighten out at my check out.

The AC did not work. It took over 2 hours to have it evaluated. The front desk person made it clear they were booked and it was unlikely they could move us. I had to stay in the lobby to make sure they kept their word to make sure it was checked by the electrician and a new room was found. Our family was visiting for a funeral, it was a very hot weekend. It finally was resolved by the electrician. Would have been helpful if the front desk staff would have communicated with us and been committed to make sure our stay was pleasant. The staff was very off putting and made it clear it was our problem and not theirs. Would not stay again, sorry

The location was convenient and the parking was included and on site. The room we were eventually moved to was excellent. The view was wonderful.

The location was great. And the Htel.Staff was very polite and made you feel welcomed. The ocean view suite was better the4n advertised. The location made it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and movies. My family had a great experience

The free breakfast items were gone before we got there, but fortunately, we paid for a delicious, custom-ordered breakfast. Also, the maid service talking loudly outside our door at 8am on Monday morning was not welcomed.

The breakfast was wonderful and served until 11am!

Nice large facility right in middle of town. Clean rooms, nice beds, pillows just ok, room had all you needed. Great view of city. Pool was closed, but hot tub was open.

We checked in late and were not able to order any food and there wasn't a vending machine either. Having some food option, however small, would be great for those coming in late, tired and hungry.

This was a last minute booking and we were able to get a really nice room with a bay view. The room clean, stylish and comfortable. Nice all the way around.

Beware - mandatory extra cost per night for services that most other places provide for free - such as wifi, self parking etc. Breakfast if you include into your room rate is only for the "sonesta breakfast" - not for other things on the menu that might even be cheaper. Strange setup.

The rooms were clean and spacious, beds were comfortable, coffee in the room. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Overall although I listed some cons, I would stay here again with eyes wide open.

The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Several special needs arose during our 4 night stay and the staff went out of their way to help us out each time. Thank you for making our stay more comfortable.
