Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The washing machines were hard to use with the need to get an app and not available 24/7
The room is spacious and gets a lot of sunshine in the morning. I would recommend it to my friends. It's very close to everything you might want to see in downtown Chicago at a very affordable price.

Not much of a view of anything, like the city or lake.

Didn t use breakfast. Wifi reception in the room was poor. Took quite some time during check out to get our car.

Insufficient breakfast staff cooking and preparing breakfast. Food took time to come out. This caused long queues and waiting for some guests. All plates, cups and cutlery was single use. This demonstrates poor environmental awareness and encourages irresponsible waste. I'd like to see china crockery and metal cutlery. Our room could have been cleaner. There was somebody else's trash left in a the room. There were dusty old bags and fake flower petals left in the bedroom. The sofabed mattress is not comfortable and could be changed.
Very friendly reception staff. All issues dealt with promptly and efficiently. Lovely big main bed in the suite. Quick smooth elevators. Hot beverages always available in the lobby for guests.

We could have used one more pillow, but that would be a nice to have. I probably could have asked for one and didn't.
This hotel was great. Location was perfect! Close to everything. The place was very clean and had a nice little kitchen. The breakfast was good. There was a nice area to eat. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast is a bit too basic and every plate/cup/cutlery are plastic which I think is not the best.
The size of the room and how comfortable it was. Coffee and chocolate available in the lobby during all day.

No pool and very small gym space. Definitely needs design update like new carpet, caulking around tub or floor etc.
Staff was great. Free breakfast was solid. Not a lot but not terrible. It was two blocks from Magnificent Mile so plenty to eat. And larger hotels next door. Nice spot.

The check in process, I booked in advance and somehow my reservations couldn't be found?? Never had any issues booking thru booking.com before... had to sat in the lobby for 35 minutes until the manager got involved. I'll never stay here again. The room wasn't even up to part raggedy and worned out furniture and the room could have used a little more cleaning.

The rooms are dated, and there is a $200 deposit. The pullout couch mattress was extremely thin due to how old it was, As for much of the furniture in the living room.
The location was amazing. This hotel is on the mile but it’s closer to the river and there is about a 2 block walk to all the luxury stores but a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway. The breakfast and employees were also great.

There was old food underneath the bed, after reporting it, it wasn’t cleaned throughout our stay !
