Some of the front desk agents, need a better customer service training. They did mess up with the payment process with my credit cards while checking inn and out. I did contacted them many times and I’m still waiting for their call back; they always promised and never do.

The room was big and clean. The hotel is under construction so hallways look like they would need a better maintenance specially the rugs. Location was good too.

The desk attendant I met while attempting to check-in was inattentive, not customer focused, rude, obnoxious, unprofessional, mean and not helpful. The facility was in a state of disrepair in basic things like housekeeping, working elevators, safety, and attitudes. We stay in hotels up and down the east coast & Midwest but I will not stay at the Hyatt House on South Tryon in Charlotte again!

The elevator closest to our room did not work so we had quite a walk from the one functional elevator to our room. The only entrance that could be utilized was the main entrance. The entrance closest to our room did not allow key card entry, which is also the entry closest to the non-functional elevator by our 3rd floor room. So in short, don’t use the parking lot in the back. It’ll be a long walk to the front entrance.

The room itself was nice, clean and had everything we needed for an accommodating stay. The room to price ratio was honestly my favorite part of things.

The hallways were scary due to the carpeting and one of the elevators being down. It had construction tape on it and the lightning was a bit sketchy for my comfort.

The staff were extremely helpful and the room was clean/nice and the bed slept extremely well! Breakfast was good too!

Building looks run down inside. Carpet in hallways and room didn't look clean. Tile floor in the room was loose. Baseboards didn't look clean. Hair and debris in shower.

Only one elevator worked. Cameras only on the first floor. Couldn't use key to get back in exit door. Which is something new. Bc the last time I stayed I could.

The side doors and key cards were a struggle. Several people were struggling.

Rooms were spacious and the hotel was pet friendly. Breakfast was good, even though some of the items advertised were not available.

I was very distressed as I waited for the shuttle for 2 hours and it never came. I had to pay a taxi US$25.00 to take me to the place. Also I had used all my data on my phone calling the hotel but did not get any answer. On arrival I was told that the phone was out of service and that there was no driver working that night. I was very stressful and asked for a refund of US$25 which I paid for the taxi but was told management was out and nothing can be done. I am still hoping that I will be able to get the US25 refunded.

All was well except the experience with the shuttle.

I didn't like that there was no room service my entire stay. In fact I was told if I wanted towels or toilet paper that I should go get it myself from the laundry room on the bottom floor. There were holes in the walls and I definitely didn't like the additional $150 they took from my credit card as a deposit that they claim to return to you once you check out. I had to go back and forth with them for weeks to get it back. We actually left the room cleaner than when we checked in. Beware that you may get the run around getting that deposit so pay attention to your account. The last thing was the gun shots which we heard a few nights being there. Nothing the hotel could do I'm sure, but definitely didn't make me feel safe.

I liked that it was like a little apartment. You have a desent kitchen, a table to sit and eat, and a living room area. I also liked that the rooms were separate giving privacy from the living room. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were clean and thankfully I didn't see any roaches or other bugs as some of the other reviews said.

I’m a Hyatt member and wasn’t impressed with the property maintenance. The hallways were not cleaned and had noticeable discoloration on the carpet. The bedroom was decent but some of the room had old wood marks on the walls and it makes it look outdated. I’m used to my Hyatt rooms looking more well maintained, so that was the major difference at this property compared to my norm. Also, I didn’t complain during my stay about my room being checked on for extra towels and essentials since they seemed short staff but this was noticeable since I ran out shower gel on the 2nd day of my trip. I just decided to use the counter soap instead to substitute it.

The front desk staff were very kind and professional. The morning breakfast selections were great. The hotel shuttle was a plus of why I booked this property.

I booked this hotel as I had an early morning flight. The driver didn't show up because of the bad weather. Breakfast wasn't served until 7. Just bad luck with the weather. I'd stay there again.

It was a perfect size. The problem was the high wind and rain storm. No internet so I couldn't do work.
