Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaDidn’t quite understand the lay of the land when I booked. It’s kind of a hostel but with private rooms. The rooms are TINY with no windows. Squished a bed in there but not much else. Only one light for the whole place so either bright or blackout. Not much privacy in the bathroom so if you weren’t familiar with your travel partner before then you will be afterwards! That being said, for the price (in comparison to other options) we’d stay again.
Good location. Staff were really friendly and good bar area. Rooms were clean. Social hour was fun. Pretty good value for central Dallas.

SpainThe windowless rooms weren’t really for me, wouldn’t do it again after having tried it. But if you don’t mind that it’s really ok and a little bit less expensive than most other options in the area
Good bed, great location, nice people, easy to walk everywhere

ChileThe location is very good, at walckable distance from the downtown. The room is tight, but very clean and the bed is comfortable. No natural light, and there is 1 interreptor for the light of the room and bathroom.

AustraliaThe shower tiles covering the drain were broken and loose and due to no shower curtain. Lots of rules with financial penalties if broken. One of them being a financial penalty if towels were stained with makeup, but then I had a towel which was clearly previously stained with mascara😂 would have appreciated a coin washer/dryer
I booked this property last minute when I had to leave previous accommodation. The receptionists were lovely on each interaction. It was clean and the bed was super comfy.

United States of AmericaThe fact that there is no partition between the shower and the toilet was a bit weird. Water sprayed all over the floor as a result. Walls are a bit thin, so you may hear people talking and entering their room. No table/desk in room.
Close to downtown and deep ellum, though you need to cross a highway to get to deep ellum. Access to public transportation. The lobby/lounge was very nice. Room facilities are nice, especially the bidet.

NetherlandsIt was a small room without windows, but we knew this when we booked our stay. Would have liked some fresh air, but this isnt a room you stay inside of all day, keep that in mind. Also, there is only one light in the room meaning you have to get up to turn on/off thr light.
We enjoyed our stay at SOVA. We had a warm welcome when we arrived late at night. Also quite surprised with the Japanese style toilet, that was a fun bonus. We enjoyed the 20 min walk to downtown, but can imagine it's not for everyone.

United States of AmericaI think it needs a card key lock on the front door on Commerce. My wife says she saw a homeless lad walk in, presumably to use a bathroom and didn’t come back out. Did she sleep somewhere in the hotel? That was odd.
Great location, small but cozy and clean rooms. I love the wet room style bathrooms, no need to worry about getting floors wet.

United States of AmericaVery sparse. Not even a cup for water. One light switch, no lamp. No USB outlet anywhere. I don't mind a small room if it's functional. This wasn't.
The bed was confortable.

United States of AmericaBecause there's no division between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, it is tricky to keep it nice and tidy. Adding a $5 squeegee to every room could help a lot.
SOVA is located in the East Quarter, close to downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum and most importantly to Dallas Farmer's Market. In the later, there are various options for breakfast/lunch/dinner. The staff made our stay even more enjoyable. Everybody was very kind and helpful. The standard rooms are small, but comfortable. The experience comparable with staying at a cruise ship state room.

United KingdomThere is only the one main light in the room so it’s either very bright or completely dark. There should be a smaller side light, it’s a simple fix and would improve the ambience of the room a lot. Do better!

United States of AmericaCity parking in the opposite has a weird parking time limits. I was not able to buy parking for a full 24 hours. So I booked it two times and paid double for parking. Later learnt the hotel provides a way to pay once.
Small and cozy in the prime spot for a good value for money

United States of AmericaThe hallway and some other guests were noisy, but that is not the hotels fault. There were some mechanical issues with the AC, the fan was loud. It was reported to the staff, so should be fixed if you stay. My constant complaint about hotel rooms, there are LEDs on the network box, fire alarm and light under the door. It you need a dark room to sleep, you'll have to cover things up and put a towel over the bottom of the door.
The room is good, micro is an accurate description. While there is no food served, you are downtown and there are good options all around. The staff was great and helped get parking paid for across the street.

Yes it’s small, but it’s also a fraction of the price of everything else in the area. Perfectly good for an overnight. The building is cool and the rooms were clean. Fancy Japanese toilets too!
