Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandFor me personally, it was problematic that there was no handset in the shower, only rain shower and generally poor water pressure. I think mostly girls will understand me. Also, the clothes after washing in the washing machine smelled not nice (later I solved this problem by throwing a dishwasher capsule into the empty drum and cycle on high heat and then leave the door open) as well as the bedding smelled not nice I think because of mentioned washing machine and I needed to wash it again. In addition, for me was a little uncomfortable front door, through which everything can be heard and does not seem the safest, but I saw that the whole floor was like that, so I understand that probably it is not the fault of the landlord. Also I think it would be nice to hang one more curtain on the window so people from other buildings can't see what is going on in the apartment. The last thing that bothered me was the lack of handles on the kitchen door, I tried to understand the concept, but did not get it.
Overall I am very satisfied that's why despite some weaknesses I leave 10/10, because for this price such apartment in NYC area was a challenge and I am very grateful for the opportunity to stay here. I chose this apartment mostly because of the presence of a kitchen and washing machine. On a moment of stay in Elizabeth we had been after already 1 week of traveling and desperately needed a washing machine, which saved us. Plus a very comfortable bed was all we wanted after a day of exploring NYC. Additionally there was a great Wi-Fi, grocery store right next to us, a lot of bus stations around and good connection with NYC even on late night hours, the kitchen was also very well equipped

United States of AmericaLack of simple amenities like a soap dish holder, trash can, no space to put simple things had to put it on the bathroom floor. The shower had no soap nor soap dispenser nor soap nowhere to put anything I guess just the shower floor awful. The kitchen had barely any amenities not even handles to pull open the draws, dishwasher is a joke with a huge dent in it. 😡 no privacy people can see straight into the apartment, oh broken microwave 🙄. Finally, the hallways just smell so bad. Smells like weed everywhere. It was the worst place I have ever stayed never again awful, Oh😡 could not get into the parking garage as there were no instructions. Please consider removing this facility from bookings.

United KingdomThis accommodation did not come with breakfast, so not applicable here. The location simply awful. The apartment is in a high rise densely populated projects housing. It was highly noisy and stench of weed everywhere. I've had to sterilize every possession I took on this trip to that apartment. Three parcels Amazon said they delivered to me at the property, handed to a resident or left in reception went missing.
The apartment was unfit for my purpose. It was misdescribed by the vendor and Booking.com. Nonetheless, the apartment was a spacious studio and clean. If you like your kitchen in your bedroom in a noisy neighbourhood, this studio apartment is the place. Whilst the apartment vendor and Booking.com are equally culpable for misleadingly advertising this property as a one bedroom apartment instead of the studio apartment it is, I give both parties credit for offering me 25% refund on the purchase price in acknowledgement of their epic failings for this booking.
