HVAC unit not working properly. The unit did not maintain the proper cooling temperature, would make the room a bit too hot at night.

Price was high (almost $200 for one night), considering lack of individual room amenities, minimalist decor, and nothing substantial to do in the immediate area. They also place a $100 hold on your credit card; mine was charged twice; total of $200 in hold fees in addition to the room fees (this was corrected upon calling the hotel after checking out and removed the following business day).

Breakfast consisted of bagels, yogurt, oranges, boiled eggs, juices and coffee. The facilities were modern and clean. Rooms are very basic; no microwave, coffee makers, ect. There is a 24-hour coffee station and microwave in lobby. Location is safe, near a couple of restaurants within walking distance, and parking was abundant. Staff was friendly, thorough, and check-in was efficient.

Of course the cost for a one night stay. If it was just $25 cheaper I would stay here a lot.

The spark of how friendly and helpful all staff was to me. They knew I was in the area for medical purposes and ensured I was treated very well.

There was a thick toe nail on bed side table, my room was right by the lobby so it was nosey at times. I was traveling to sleep in between shifts, would have preferred a quieter room.

It felt like a renewed Super 8 that got fresh paint, but they forgot to change the filters in the air system. Clean, but you could still smell the old hotel. Nothing that would prevent me from staying again at the right price. Breakfast was a little scarce.

It didn’t have a pool. When I book family trips we only stay where there is a pool since we travel with young kids who enjoy swimming. The booking.com app said it had a pool and in room microwave which it did not have either. Had some very upset children since we planned on swimming after check in. It was at front counter that I found out there was no pool as booking app said. Was told by front desk that this was a fault of the app since we were not the first to think this. They said they had reached out to the booking sites to inform them but were still having some that had not changed their information as of yet. I will not use booking.com again I will directly contact the hotels to find out information and book through them directly. This has left a very sour taste for me and my children.

Liked the location. Ryan at the front desk was as extremely pleasant and tried to accommodate us with your sister hotel because of the pool issue however being Easter weekend the other site was booked as well. But I really appreciated his attempt to help us out and go above and beyond!

Unfortunately this was not the hotel I booked therefore the amenities and breakfast were not as expected. HOWEVER, that said, I had booked Country Inn & Suites and was not advised by them nor Booking.com who I booked through that the hotel was bought out by Hilton. Sparks itself was not the issue as my issue was that the hotel I booked had a pool and a full breakfast. Sparks took the pool out therefore it no longer exists. As well, Sparks does NOT offer a full breakfast which I purchased when I booked Country Inn. There is a bagel bar however I have gluten issues and my family member cannot eat bread either as well, the bagel bar was quite empty.

The staff are the best part of this hotel. Front Reception staff Ryan and Bianca as well the manager Kim are VERY kind and helpful. The breakfast bar lady is also very lovely and welcoming. It’s a good location for a quick visit to Rochester. Lots of parking that is free! The environment is clean, has snacks for purchase and offers free tea, coffee and hot water 24/7.
