I’ve read many whiny reviews…okay, it’s not the Ritz Carlton…get over it! Yes, it’s dated, perhaps run down, it is very 1980’s, but it’s also not $500 a night!! It’s a budget place, that you can make the best of if your attitude is good and if your not expecting something truly great!

It is located in a beautiful part of the country- our grandchildren enjoyed our stay and had fun- main purpose for our visit!

    A) It would have been helpful having somebody at the reception desk in the Lodge. B) Please, provide a hairdryer for the rooms. Thanks.

The staff were very attentive and found quickly a solution for a very noisy guest next room, even though they were fully booked. We maintained our lake view even though we moved rooms.

There was a dead mouse in the women’s restroom in the lodge pool area. The pool area in town center is nice but the pool was overly chlorinated… it gave some members of our party painful dermatitis. On the other hand, there were so many people in the pool it probably needs to be that chlorinated to prevent bacterial infections. Also, the line for checkin on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend was out the door and people were waiting for hours. It didn’t affect us but I overheard people being absolutely irate.

I got a 2 bedroom for four nights for under 700 bucks over Memorial Day weekend including taxes and fees. That was the best deal around by far. My judgment of the place is based on the price I paid. It was comfortable. The room was in fair condition, a bit dated, but clean. The AC was broken but maintenance fixed it within an hour. The staff were friendly and attentive. The resort has a lot to offer but the water park bowling and arcade cost extra—not too expensive though. I liked that the pool area at town center was indoors and had a pool, kids pool, and hot tub, all decently large and aesthetically pleasing. The loungers were plush! The resort has everything you need to fill a weekend and you can do laundry for free at willowbrook. Just bring your own soap and dryer sheets. There is a free shuttle around the complex. The food at the restaurants is reportedly very bad but I planned ahead and cooked my own food. I also picked up food at nearby restaurants the local Indian food (eat spice) which is out of a truck stop was the best meal I had but don’t put too much stock in that as I am personally biased against overpriced bland American food (which is what is available in the area).

The facility and the amenities are fine. They need to have a better supervision of the inside pool. There were teenagers not allowing the kids to have fun in the pool. They took over the pool playing with a ball. Throwing the ball and not caring about hitting a little kid. The employees inside the pool and security didn't do anything to stop the selfishness of the teenagers. We asked the front desk to handle the situation, and the response was that they paid to use the pool. I told them everyone paid to use the inside pool and had the same right to use it. They need to have better supervision and control of the pool to avoid an issue with any family and kids.

They could have better pots, pans, utensils. There should be a mop on site when needed. I didn’t like that the restaurants & indoor waterpark is closed during the week. We were there for my daughter’s birthday from Sunday through Wednesday which her birthday was on a Tuesday & a lot of things she wanted to do was closed . She wanted breakfast & dinner in the restaurant & she couldn’t cause they were closed 😩

The breakfast restaurant was closed during the week so we couldn’t eat there

They only give you basic tv. No coffee maker, no tissues, only one bar of soap. No detergent for dishwasher, no frying pan, no spatula . They used to have free coffee in morning and nite. Less hours and verity of creamer and coffee

They made some updates to the room. Bed was comfortable

We received a room in the back of the hotel. It was the most uncomfortable stay to travel through the hotel having to take two seperate elevators. The elevators were so outdated I thought we were going to get stuck. Not convenient when you are traveling with a baby and have to lug all of your things and a playpen to the fourth floor behind the resort. The hotel and the area seem to be run down. We could not find anywhere to eat. The location was in the woods super scary. It was not my idea of a getaway.

The pool was perfect! It is a massive resort. It was kind of scary how big it is. You can get lost.

The property was under renovation during our stay and the elevator was not functioning.

Majority of the staff is very pleasant and accommodating especially front door man Miklos I arrived early for check in and miklos along with another coworker helped me check in early when Jan the front desk lady was so mean and unpleasant . This really made me want to come back again because he went above and beyond to make sure we were settled in.

It wasn't easy to get to the business center from the outer building. So we did use many of the amenities. The food on site was terrible. The water park is small and no towels. The gift shop sold nothing for the Waterpark. The staff in the Waterpark were rude and unhelpful.

The resort food was not good and very expensive. The fact that all the amenities close at either 8Pm or 10pm is crazy. Me and my group wanted to go play pool around 10pm and that’s when the billiard room closes. Not only that but the next day when we asked about it they said they didn’t have any pool sticks anyway they were all broken. The pool, billiard room, bowling, basketball courts, and arcade should stay open until midnight. There were so many families and kids just playing in the lobby and roaming around at midnight because everything at the resort closed at 10pm kind of ridiculous. Also the rooms aren’t cleaned very well. I could see the stains on the counter tops from previous guests where the hand soap was last. Also we were gonna go chill in the hot tub and there were about 8 kids playing in it unsupervised.

I liked the arcade, bowling, staff were friendly. Close to big boulder and Jack Frost. Near by restaurants were great.

I’m sure the weather was a major factor but the wifi was down but more importantly the indoor pool was closed and locked up,which we were looking forward to.

The amenities at town center were a nice plus and the ascetics of the lodge were nice as well. Enjoy having direct access to the restaurant through the lodge.

THEY NEED MORE STAFFFF!!!! The same staff who were serving breakfast were serving dinner at their other eatery location (Nicks Lake House). by the way, the food there...so disappointing! The Staff had no clue what they were doing. soooo training would be beneficial! IT snowed while we were there, the roads were not clean, no salt, no nothing. considering they are at the mountains and all attractions are at the main building, they should prepare for winter snow falls!

The room was cozy, the view was like winter wonderland. Breakfast was alright. Too expensive for such a simple breakfast. This place has so much potential, however, it does need some heavy TLC!!! Buildings could truly use renovations!!!
