Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNo dislikes at all.
Close to everything, room was very nice. Staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we were met at an unloading zone, our bags were taken to our room and our car was taken to the parking garage. When we left they brought us our car and came for our luggage. I have never had service like this in my life. Highly recommend.

United States of AmericaVery noisy rooms- you can hear everything (including conversations clearly!) in the rooms beside. Balconies facing courtyards can be very noisy from businesses and bars. Very Overpriced for condition and noise levels
Great location, superb staff and ambience! We stayed on Orange Street so balcony time was very pleasant!

United States of AmericaNothing.
Room was beautiful and location was perfect! We parked our car and never needed it for the rest of our stay. Food and shopping were a few steps away. Having both a hot and cold breakfast available was wonderful. Both the hotel and almost all stores and restaurants were pet friendly so our dog had a great time too. Will definitely will stay there next time we are in St Augustine.

United States of AmericaWe had booked a room with 2 beds (I was traveling with my daughter) and we were put in a two-story suite instead of a room with two beds. We didn't really like the suite as one person needed to sleep on a pull out sofa.

United States of AmericaWe were very satisfied, so I'm only commenting this since there's a block for reporting negatives. The included breakfast was... not remarkable. Mostly grilled sandwiches. My kids were fine with it, but it will not be the thing you are most excited about. Upside of this: breakfast is served in a nice little winebar alongside the hotel office, and people really enjoyed this in the evenings.
I was all set to book a much more expensive (historic) hotel... but spotted this one. SO much better. The rooms are in the dead heart of the historic district (literally on top of it), with pleasant open walkways or balconies with rockers. Our room was directly above the courtyard. The open spaces are open to the public, and it was nice to sit on our balcony enjoying the view of activity and listening to occasional musicians that performed in the courtyard, while a fountain obscured any distraction from the conversations of people sitting at the tables below. We were able to visit most of the sites in the historic district (castillo, ghost tour, nice restaurant, Ponce de Leon Hotel, Old Jail, Pirate Museum & Colonial Village) by walking mere blocks. The old city gate was right across the street from our room. Could not have been more pleasant or convenient. I was traveling with my college sons and the layout of one room with 2 queen beds allowed us enough space and privacy to stay together. The room was definitely a savings over the (famous historic) hotel I had considered booking. Highly recommend, and we'd stay here again. Tip: there is variation to the features of rooms (balconies, view) so read descriptions. I like our standard room; we did not have a premium room (eg, view directly over Castillo).

United States of AmericaNever heard a negative comment about the St. George Inn.
I had booked the room for my granddaughter and her fiance who were in our city to search for their wedding venue. The staff I worked with to make these arrangements were beyond helpful and accommodating. My "kids" comments about St. George Inn were positive, enthusiastic and constant. Made my day!
