The staff were amazing and the room exceeded my expectations. Every encounter I had either with staff or even small talk with other guests were positive and enjoyable experiences. I would absolutely look to stay here again whenever I come back to San Francisco.

I loooved my stay at Stanford Court! Staff was extremely friendly and they even upgraded me to a suite on the last floor. Everything was perfect, I've never stayed in a room this beautiful, spacious, quiet, and clean before. Nothing was missing from the room, they had an iron and a hair dryer. Overall, an amazing stay at the Stanford Court.

The location was lovely and close to the Ferry Building, China Town, North Beach, and the cable car. We loved the challenge of Nob Hill and fully knew we would be conquering the Hill daily. The staff at Stanford was exceptional. Every single person with whom we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. The room was perfect. Comfortable and clean and we also had a great view.

It is located in a very hilly part of San Francisco (which is a lot of the city) and to get anywhere you had to walk up or down a very steep hill.

This is a beautiful building in a great location. The interiors feel modernized in a very nice way - the decor was interesting and playful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and I heard no street noise at all. We were a stone’s throw from the cable car stop. The staff was very helpful and accommodating - we wanted 3 rooms near each other and they were able to move us around. I was there for a conference and I was able to walk to Moscone center (though I had to take a Lyft to get back because of the hills). Check in was very easy and they use text and an app, but also have actual key cards.

Bed wasn’t the most comfortable and squeaked with any movement. Biggest gripe would be the elevators. They were slow and terrifying once inside. Loud and would shake and bounce.

Staff was incredible!! Very kind and accommodating. Housekeeping always greeted us in the halls. Property had a lot to offer for amenities and the location was very safe. Located right between the 3 cable cars which was fun! Would highly recommend an interior room as the traffic of the city and cable cars can be loud all night. The hills were no joke like other reviews have stated so don’t underestimate them but don’t let them deter you from staying here! Rooms were very spacious!

Elevators are slow which isn't a real problem, only a minor inconvenience at the busiest times.

The location is great - close enough to walk to North End, Chinatown, Market Street but also accessible to many bus lines and the cable cars. We actually walked from the hotel all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge and across! Our room was clean and spacious with a huge bathroom and a small fridge for drinks. We appreciated the windows opening to get a bit of fresh air. The city view was beautiful, the fitness center was well-appointed, and the staff were friendly and helpful at checkin and held our bags at checkout so we could do a last bit of sightseeing.

The fact the water bottles are available only upon request and at the reception and the fact that if we want to recycle the water bottles and fill them with the water fountain that is also only available in the reception, not only it’s not convenient but also it’s almost not possible to do so, as the plastic bottles are not sturdy enough to take several daily use. After one use they were almost smashed . Maybe put one water fountain on each floor next to the lift ? And provide refillable glass bottles ( like at the Claremont Hotel and Spa by Fairmont in Berkeley, CA) .

The architecture of the building, the location, the views offered by some of the rooms. The helpful and kind staff and the clientele. The nice service at the restaurant which is also offering simple but good food.
