Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaEven though I checked in before 5:00pm, the lobby was completely inaccessible, and there was a sign to ring the night bell. When I did, a woman answered through a plexiglass window with a small sliding door to take my drivers license. She was not the least bit welcoming or friendly. She abruptly handed me my receipt, explained how to use the key card, and gave me the internet password. Oh well... the room was okay. The biggest drawback for me was that there was no coffeemaker in the lobby or in the room. I had expected there to be one in the lobby, but as mentioned, the doors were locked, and there was not a coffeemaker in sight. Also, and this is not the fault of the hotel really, but I was awakened twice during the night - at 2:00am and 3:00am - by a very noisy group of people who were all speaking and laughing loudly right outside my door. It sounded like they were all trying to talk over each other, at the top of their voices. They went away for awhile and then came back again. If the Lion Inn had a front desk that you could call to complain, it might have been a less frustrating experience.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable enough. I liked that there was a small fridge and microwave. Everything about the room was about what you'd expect for the price. A nice perk is that it is right next door to a Mellow Mushroom, which is a fun place to eat and drink, and they sometimes have live music. It's also very close to a Circle K, which you're going to need to hit for coffee if you have trouble functioning in the morning without a caffeine buzz.

United States of AmericaWalls were very thin, neighbors were very loud, as well as the road noise, we were one unit from the street. Office was closed had to do everything through a tiny window, which is much less welcoming. Prefer to handle check in/out at a proper front desk.
Shower was spacious, bed was comfortable enough.

United States of AmericaNo visitors not staying at the hotel could visit We had friends meeting us at the pool for drinks and technically they were not permitted in the pool area. Some of the rooms have backdoors. We were upgraded because our original room had lock issues. Property looked as it had some extended stay guests. No outside seating other than the pool area.l. The hotel was empty 4th of July.
It is close to the Conch House and walking distance to downtown.

United States of AmericaUnfortunately there are doors connecting each room, and you hear everything the neighbors say or do as if they are in the same room. Extremely unfortunate. Also the pillows sucked. :/
Room was bigger than expected and I enjoyed that. It was clean. Fridge and microwave. Flat screen tv. Overall good feel.

United States of AmericaThis is a no-frills motel - basically, a clean room at a decent price. Some offering of seating outside of rooms would be a nice addition. Rooms are definitely on the smaller side, but that's to be expected with an old Florida motel.
For a short stay in STA for a concert at the Amp, the location is fantastic and the price reasonable for the area. The owners are very kind and remembered us from a stay a couple weeks prior (we were offered our choice of room, although we didn't notice a difference in one room vs another). The room was clean, bed comfy, and AC nice and cold (although the room was HOT when we arrived). The Amp is about a mile away, and there are several great dining establishments that are easily walkable - The Conch House and Mojo Tacos are both fantastic!

United States of AmericaThe hotel is definitely dated and in need of renovation. The front office operated out of a room that you talked thru a piece of plexiglass to a person. They appeared to offer a hair dyer, but it didn't work.
The location was good, the room was clean and there was plenty of parking. Happy to have a refrig and microwave in the room.
