To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe room might not be sparkling clean. I didn't got any bathroom towels(even if I reported the issue), but there's a Tagert 2 blocks away. I got one for $4.50. So, have backups for yourself just in case. Overall, it was nice.
Place feels like home. You get what you paid for, and considering the hotel is at the center of the city, it's awesome!

There were dirty used wash cloths from the previous guests left in the shower, but no clean ones were left behind for our use. We were also left without any cooking essentials( pots& pans), so we had to eat out our entire stay.
Price can’t be beat.

United States of AmericaPaid parking $25/day, could have been a tad cleaner. Hallway had a weird smell but the room smelled nice. A lot of homeless around the building, wouldn't feel safe outside alone. (Of course that's not really the property’s fault)
Price, space, management’s quick response, keyless entry, close to everything, comfortable and friendly staff. It’s literally a mini home away from home. We didn’t get to enjoy the amenities, but would stay here again.
