Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The beds and linens were not that comfortable. I could smell someone's dinner in the hallway.
The front desk staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The facilities were well maintained. The breakfast was fresh and delicious with lots of different options to suit any dietary need.

Only 1 elevator. Not enough carts to carry luggage in and Pet Fee was steep at $125 for our 6 pound dog
Location was good and had a Starbucks close by for my wife. Clean

There was only 2 things that I didn't like but they where not enough to deter me away. The customer service upon arrival was not very friendly but however more sarcastic but I'm not gonna let one employee ruin it all. And I believe they could have done better with the breakfast it was good but more variety would have been perfect.
Staybridge Hotel Denton was great, it had great location and the rooms where perfect. I like the fact that it had a private room and even a mini kitchen in it. Perfect shopping nearby. I will definitely be a returning customer in the future

The only thing was the bedroom TV had no signal. The maintenance guy came to take a look, but the cable box was missing. The TV in the living room worked fine. We just normally enjoy watching a little Tv before going to sleep.
Nice, quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast was great.

There was tiny black bugs in the master bathroom Kitchen chairs had some tears in them Carpet looked grungy When we arrived they had sold too many rooms and we got upgraded to a larger room but we did t know what happened for like 10 mins the front desk lady wouldn’t say anything

The temperature control in the room could have been better. But could have been user error.
The front desk staff, every single one I spoke to, was exceptionally friendly and eager to help. I was really impressed with the consistency of customer service. The staff at 10pm was just a friendly as at 10am.

The staff were a little if-y. I had to ask the same question a couple of times. The young lady at checkin could have cared less. The gentleman who answered the phone at the front desk was a little condescending. I came off a very long drive and there was no ice in the freezer and you had no ice machine. The ice machine in the room was shut off so it was a long time before it made any. No one at the desk to check out and no sign indicating when they would return. So we just left.
The room was very nice. The breakfast was great. The price was pretty reasonable.

The breakfast was a bit lacking as it did not really offer as much as I was expecting. I believe there should be a second waffle making machine and there needs to be a wider variety of foods available and there should be enough staff there watching to ensure that there is food (i.e. fruit) available.
The experience I had with Jason at the front desk during check-in was by far the best I've had, and I travel quite often. He was very, very friendly and made me and my family feel very welcomed! He is definitely a valuable asset to the business!
