The breakfast was extremely healthy with lots of fruit and steel-cut oatmeal plus bagels, donuts, muffins and toast. They forego the rubber eggs (there are hard boiled) and suspicious sausage that you usually find but the staff is happy to provide information about close breakfast places. They also use real door keys which is both charming and more secure. They are a few blocks from downtown Ashland. The pool and hot tub are lovely

While the inn is quaint, the rooms could use some updating, specifically having electronic key cards instead of physical keys.

The location was very good. We enjoyed walking around downtown Ashland and checking out the shops without having to drive. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

The sofa bed was average for a sofa bed. Staff responded for clean sheets promptly. Breakfast was average, nothing special but satisfactory. Could use more food choices.

Convenient location, staff was very helpful, main bed was comfortable in suite.

Great location—an easy walk to shops and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival but far enough away to be quiet. The room was large, clean, and comfortable and had many electrical outlets, some with USB charging. The breakfast included freshly made steel cut oatmeal with tons of toppings! Very pleasant and friendly staff

No EV charger, although there happened to be a Tesla destination charger a short walk away which allowed public use.

We liked the selection of cereals and toppings and plain yoghurt at breakfast. Although not new, the facility was well maintained and had a fun theater/Shakespeare vibe. Close in location.

Overall we enjoyed Stratford Inn due to its value, location, helpful staff, and cleanliness.
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Queen Room with Two Queen Beds

We did not find the beds comfortable. Also, it would be highly recommended if families with young kids staying there are given rooms on the first floor. We had issues with kids jumping and running in their room above us on the third floor later at night. Finally, the rooms were clean, but still had a musty smell. We used the provided air purifier device to help, but the smell persisted for the first few days.

We liked the location, cleanliness, helpful staff, and value. It is an older hotel, but the bathroom was in good condition and had plenty of space. The area for breakfast was nicely spaced, and it had basic breakfast items (cereal, muffins, etc.) and juice/coffee. The staff in the dining area was very helpful, and Cindy (staff member) provided us with suggested places to eat and sites to see inside and outside of the immediate Ashland area.

Overall ambience of the hotel was lovely. The room was clean; the bed was comfortable; the location of the hotel was excellent -- close to downtown Ashland (within walking distance). The staff was very helpful, very professional and very warm, welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who values these types of assets as referenced above.
