It was clean and quiet, had comfortable beds/pillows/bedding, had a nice little kitchen, had a pool, a short walk to the beach, a 2 minute walk to a farmers market on Sundays, free and easy parking and Jane (manager) was delightful. I definitely recommend staying here and I would come back.

I’m a local needing a couple of days away from my place due to construction. I would highly recommend this wonderful, reasonably priced “landmark” motel that is right next to its name sake beach.

I loved that the manager was really quick to respond to any issues that came up. The entire motel lost power and she was quick to let us know what's going. All facilities were really clean and tidy! I would definitely come back for another stay.

The shower is a bit too small for my liking. When I needed to bathe my 8 year old it was difficult as the shower head was too high and the water barely touched my son. I tried to adjust it but couldn't. Not a huge deal but made shower time challenging for my 8 year old.

The location was better than I thought. There's a beach right down the street around the corner from the Starbucks which is next to the motel. The staff was really nice and housekeeping was very polite. They were very accommodating and very professional. We are a family of 4 and have 2 kids under the age of 11 and that was taken into consideration when I checked in (which i appreciated). The beds are very comfortable. Super quite at night which was very nice. Many things around: stores, laundry mats, grocery, restaurants etc.

The only thing I missed was a hair dryer. But that's not a big thing

The lady owner was very kind and service minded. We were upgraded to a bigger room. The room was lovely with two big beds and a little kitchen where we could make our own breakfast. It was a little bit cold in the room. However it was a perfect temperature for us to sleep. She gave to us good instructions how to go and see the best places in Santa Cruz. Her dog was really cute and friendly. This was the first motel/hotel during our three weeks vacation where you could recycle and separate bio waste. I could come to this place again.

It was amazing. We stayed in the apartment above the office and it has a spacious porch and partial ocean view. The room has all the amenities of home. It was clean and there was a full size fridge and stove. We loved staying here!

Just a couple notes for travelers: The family rooms are on second floor. There aren’t any doors between the two bedrooms, and you have to pass through one room to get to bathroom. It was on the small side for 4 adults.

On a family trip to help our father/grandfather, my siblings and adult nephew stayed here in one of the family rooms. Just down the road is Sunny Cove beach, which was absolutely gorgeous. We had a kitchenette and table, so we were able cook for ourselves there. It wasn’t far from my dad’s hospital and close to the funeral home of Santa Cruz. Jane and dog Pax were so welcoming and so accommodating, making our stay great.

The cutest motel with a vintage feel, literally 3 minutes walk from a lovely little cove and beach lookout where you can see across the whole bay. Super friendly owner, we felt really at home here and would go back anytime
