The fact that there is a deposit that you don't know about until after you pay for the room and if you don't pay the deposit. You won't get a refund on your room.

Lastly, I read that if you stay more than one day you'll have to have your key rekeyed to get back into your room, that is true as I had to do so. Went to front desk and lady there asked can she help me told her the problem and stated that I read I would have to do it so NO BIG DEAL however she started with an attitude after I made the statement, then I said YUP you must be the lady in the reviews that people have said has an attitude and is rude, lol. Once again she got upset told me not to keep the key by the phone, first of all my phone was in the front of my purse and the key was in a pocket way in the back of the purse it has 4 dividing parts. I just didn't understand why she was being so defensive and got an instant attitude that I had to come do what the reviews said I would, I wasn't tripping. What is mind boggling to me is, once she gave me my key back she came from behind the counter into the lobby and stood by the window behind me like she was going to attack me or something, didn't understand that but grabbed my two cups of drinks told the lady trying to check in that my experience with the gentleman the day before was so pleasant and went to my room. Oh one more thing, if you are staying on the bottom floor you will have to listen to the people above you walk around all night long. The day before was thinking about extending another night so I could just wake up late and have coffee instead of having to travel back home but, going back home 🏠 is what I'm going to do! So peeps, that's my review for this week, have a great day and safe travels 🧳. Had my own towels, soap and etc, so left theirs alone. I had 3 pillows, 1 hand towel, 2 bathing towels, 2 wash towels, 2 trash cans, 1 remote, unclean microwave that was missing a wheel so now I understand how reheating the paper cup of coffee burned it wasn't moving, and the stain on the chair was already there, as well as the hole in the wall. Listing so I get my deposit of 100 back!

Ok, so as people can see I have 10,646 Views on places I stay and eat at, so my reviews are my honest opinion! So for the Super 8 I'll start with the good things, the gentleman that checked me in was very polite, nice, and helpful as we discussed my reason for being in the area regarding my post heart attack appointments and gave me some good advice about staying calm and letting things go. LOVED, that they let me check in early as I didn't get sleep the night before and drove to Mechanicsville early that morning for Cardio Rehab and had two more appointments early Friday morning. As far as the room I was given looked like it had been remodeled- minus the old chair with a spot but the attached ottoman was nice and the curtains should have matched the room they were out dated, microwave should have been cleaned out used paper towels over what I needed to heat up. There was plenty of parking, the ice machine worked, the TV was big, and the bed was comfortable, I was happy to hear the plastic on it, It makes me feel better that there may not be any bed bugs because of it, ac worked, the fridge kept items cold and frozen. However, I was trying to be energy efficient and turn the AC off as I went to 7-11 to shop for a couple of things, I left my breakfast bacon on the night stand and came back to see some small roaches around it until they ran as I picked up the plate. When I went to get ice I asked the gentleman about if they have a lot of roaches and he said no I'm the first one to say anything however, later when I read through the reviews I found over 10-15 posts about it, all I know is I'm not use to them. Dropped the matter came back to the room put the AC on 73 all night even though I was cold didn't turn it off and they didn't come back. Ok, for the toilet the key to it is the first time you flush it will go down but the next time it won't so if you have to do number two wait until every other flush to do so, lol.

It was dirty. I understand they were doing repairs but it was unacceptable. Rust in the shower head among other things. Lights didn't work. Only one lamp worked. Ac didn't even work

Daytime female front desk rep. She was just rude and acted if people weren’t good enough for her “2 star” hotel.

Did not eat breakfast. Area ok during the day but lots of undesired action after the sun went down. Saw local police in hotel parking lot during both nights stayed so far.

The Outside was clean. It cost $90 for the same level of cleanliness as the roach motels. There was visible dirt in the tub, some else’s hair all over the sink and rest of the bathroom, and for some reason the sink stunk, there was also some black mold spots all over the shower curtain.

the carpet on the stairs needs to be cleaned. no breakfast.

the location is great if you are going to or from the airport. the desk clerk was friendly and helpful. the room was surprisingly nicer than i expected for a 2.5 star hotel. there was not a lot of noise or any people lounging around the building like I saw at some of the other hotels in the area.
