Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere was a strong smell in the room, possibly some kind of co structuring glue or material. Very distracting, to say the least.

United States of AmericaThe pillows are tiny , the bedspread needs washing and honestly they could put an extra blanket in the room during winter months.
It was clean, right off the interstate and no extra charge for pets !

CanadaVery run down. Bare bones amenities. Bathroom door not framed right hard to close. Bathtub stained. They give you a bar of soap but not even a bottle of shampoo. No Kleenex in the room. Bar fridge has an ice buildup inside makes noises all night. Mold on shower curtain.
The price.

United States of AmericaWe wanted to bring our dog and the website said we could for no extra charge. And when we got there the lady at the front desk told us the website was correct about no extra charges for pets but then put us in an animal free room apparently. So then on the second day she called the room phone to see if we had our dog w us and got an attitude w me when I told her I did and then they asked us to take the dog home because we were in a pet free room. And we obliged her because we were worried they'd charge us the extra $250 for special cleaning or whatever. Completely ruined our trip. We won't be coming back anytime soon that's for sure. Rude staff and bad customer service!
The room was great seemed pretty clean and bug free. Very comfortable

United States of AmericaI do think the standard in 2022 is some type of breakfast or continental breakfast offered today in hotels.
We were pleased with the room at the very affordable Booking.com price. It was a standard Motel 6 room alongside the interstate west of Indianapolis and only 14-miles away from our basketball event using two-lane roads (Route 32) through farm countryside to get to the athletic facilities hosting the basketball tournament (Westfield, IN and Pacer's Athletic Center). The area hotels were pretty-much sold out and very expensive due to the large tournament. We were only there to sleep and take showers. There was no breakfast offered at this Motel 6 in Lebanon, IN. If there was supposed to be breakfast offered, there was none. Only small Styrofoam cups of regular coffee with sugar and cream were offered in the Lobby. The rooms were recently remodeled (past several years, not sure) and vinyl "wood trim" style floors were installed and feel it makes it much easier to clean and sanitize the hotel room. We felt that the room was thoroughly cleaned as we arrived while they were cleaning the room. Alex at the front desk was nice and very accommodating. There is an excellent breakfast and lunch restaurant called "Flap-Jacks" within short walking distance from the hotel and I observed it looked like every "extended" family from Lebanon seeking a home-cooked breakfast or lunch meal was dining at Flap-Jacks" - an excellent sign the food is great! Only open from 6:00 or 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM daily though so plan accordingly.

United States of AmericaThe room had a musty odor to it, and the sheets had stains and what appeared to be cigarette burns on them (even though it was a non-smoking room). When I wiped water from around the sink after use, the towel came away brown which indicated to me the counter was dirty. It also seems to be in a slightly bad part of town because I was greeted with what appeared to be a homeless man asking if I was from around the area. I believe there are people living in this hotel as a residence and am not sure of the pet policy but heard dogs barking/growling in the room next to mine throughout the night. If I’m being honest (and as a young woman who was needing to travel alone in this instance) I was on alert staying at this particular hotel. I didn’t partake in any breakfast and didn’t see one set up when I checked out in the morning. Coffee was available. Also when checking out in the morning NO ONE was behind the desk. There was a bell set up to ring, but no one appeared when I rang it. I HAD to leave, so I left my room keys in a basket with other keys sitting in it.
The kid behind the desk was cordial and friendly when I checked in.

United States of AmericaNot as clean as it should have been, thin blankets, fridge was not cold, paid extra for tub, but had no way to plug it to use it. Also, the sink was outside the bathroom and I found cheese and tomatoes in the drain that I can only assume came from a Taco Bell taco from the near by restaurant.
The bed and pillows were comfortable. AC worked good.

United States of AmericaLiked the fact that they had a room available.
Didn't like the hardwood floors, and lack of a coffeemaker. The sink had hair in it. Front desk clerk did not pay attention to the fact that i had already paid online and charged me again even though I told him I had already paid before he swiped my card. He went on to swipe my card before even checking. I had to press the issue before he checked again. He issued me a refund, but it took 2 days for it to go back into my account, the time it took is understandable, but why would you swipe before checking as requested.

United States of AmericaI booked a king room and had requested the first floor. When I got there, they had not king rooms on the first floor left. The gentleman offered me a smaller room with a double bed on the first floor but said I would have to pay a $70 "change room fee" to switch. Also, the rooms were very damp, I believe as a result of the air conditioner. This was an expensive stay for a Motel 6.
The room was pretty clean and the staff was friendly.

United States of AmericaI did not have a trash can in my room and needed a new roll of TP. Since you allow dogs it would have been nice to have extra trash cans outside to put dog poop bags, and maybe it would also encourage others to pick up after their dogs because there was alot of dog poop piles in the grass.

United States of AmericaStood at the desk for 15 minutes to check in at 2:30 am, I was tired. I wish she would have been a little more attentive. Only got to sleep a little and was gone by 6:45. Left my wallet in the room rushing out and realized it 6 hours later, had to call about it. I feel like someone should have called me for common courtesy..not a wait and see if she calls. That was kind of rude. Then whoever was at the desk went through my wallet to try to find my ID when I answered all of his questions and knew all of the reservation information. Just rubbed me wrong a little bit.
Loved the laminate flooring, beds were very comfortable. The location was easy to find and building was in better shape than expected. Good stay for a cheaper price.

United States of AmericaThis is probably on you, not them. I needed to cancel one of my two rooms. Although they still filled the room, at a higher price, they didn't reduce mine.
They went above and beyond for the eclipse travelers, but some of the things were probably provided by the county tourism committee.
