The staff was very rude and the fact that they locked us out of the room. I went to the office and the older white lady at the front desk was helping someone check in. After she helped the customer she didn’t acknowledge me at all and answered the phone and was on the call for about 10 minutes. When she finished the call she had an attitude and asked what I needed. I told her we were locked out of the room and she said it isn’t a big deal and I said it kind of is, all of our stuff is in there and she told me to stop screaming (I wasn’t) and she was going to call the police. After her rude behavior and threat we decided to check out and find another hotel. She told me we would get a full refund but the next day I spoke with another lady who was very nice, but said that unfortunately since we booked through a third party we couldn’t get the refund for the night we checked out so we paid for it and we had already paid for and stayed at another hotel. We also had a bad experience with two of the cleaning people, an older man and woman earlier that day before we left. They approached my husband and me rudely and were speaking in a their language then we heard “checking out” and we said, “No, we’re not checking out”. We also told the front desk staff that we won’t need service but they went in anyway but only made the bed. We won’t stay at Red Roof Inn in Port Wentworth again.

It was people that were hanging out outside our door for two nights in a row and a guy on the steps all day and night, made me really uncomfortable so i checked out early and stayed in a different hotel.

I didn’t know we had a breakfast option and it’s close to the airport but the stragglers.

The king spa room,,. Is pretty good in size. Large bathroom. Loved the corner chair with hassack....The breakfast was nice.!

The door facings and back of bathroom door were dirty, a dog was barking in the next room, and the bathroom light didn't work. A positive note, when we called the office about the dog, the barking stopped. The continental breakfast was a joke - toast, cereal, yogurt.

Fridge didn’t work. Had to get another one that barely cooled. Air took forever to cool and plumbing made a horrible sound when you flush the toilet.

The woman working the front desk seemed to have a “I’m better than you” attitude. And the onion slice I found in our bed 😬🥴 I would have requested another room but was too tired to care.

We dealt with two separate people working the front test. The first person was a lady, who wasn’t too big on talking to anybody. Meanwhile, we came in later to check in and a very pleasant gentleman was working the desk and he was amazing. Very nice guy. The room was pretty clean and smelled cleaned.

The hotel rents out to weekly renters who were in the adjoining room sitting in the doorway drinking beer, listening to loud music, and talking loudly. The hotel is old and our room had a strong odor!

I didn't like the housekeeper following me to the door, informing me she was the one who cleaned my room while I was coming back after going out to do errands.

The room was a King size and was very nice. Staff was nice. I like they had an envelope to leave a tip for the housekeeper IF we choose. The hotel allows 1 pet and has a designated large pet area. There are restaurants in walking distance, gas station next door and store Plazawith nail salon, you can drive too.

The girl at the front desk took out money and then after taking our money they told us we had to leave. And even called the police after taking our money. And then told us we had to leave the room and then they would refund our money. If I'm correct, this is not right. You do not take someone money and then say you can leave after you have paid for a whole weeks reservation.and we have no more money and no where to go.

Property needs tons of work. The outdoor parts. Staircases are breaking down with pieces of many stairs coming loose. AC units leave a water trail from room to edge of balcony for each room. TV didn't work. I could have called the front desk and fixed it but didn't have the will. I shouldn't have too..it should work when they say the room is ready for check-in.
