It's a little bit tired here and there, I guess. It really was fine.

I read the Google reviews, and I was a little bit scared, but I was pleasantly surprised that this was a perfectly good, well maintained, nicely located place. It's definitely the kind of place where working folks stay - The parking lot was full when I rolled in in the evening, and it was nearly empty at about 6:30 a.m. I found it a pleasant practical no frills experience. It's located basically at the gate of the Susanville fairgrounds, so maybe sometimes of the year it's pretty raucous, but it was very fine and restful for me.

The room was next to the steps leading to the second floor. There was lots of foot traffic most of the night. Also there was a power outage at the motel. I missed my alarm and I woke up myself 2 hours after I wanted to leave for home.

Easy check in. I asked the lady if I could get a room as close as I could to the Wi-Fi. She was clueless. So I will what they had

The people in 204 sounded like they were partying like there was no tomorrow very loud all night long. Also, we had to park further away from our front door think maybe you should put car numbers on the parking space for people to park in front of their door if they can especially the handicap..

Sadly, while driving home, four hours from the motel, I realized I had forgotten my earrings. I had gotten everything except my earrings. As I was driving, my husband called as soon as I realized the loss, and he asked the manager to please look for the jewelry. Shortly, the motel called and said they found the earrings, and would send them back to me. I was elated! These meant a lot to me. Several days later, while I was away from home, my husband called to say that he had picked up our mail. We had gotten an envelope from the motel. It was had a large hole in it. One earring was missing. One was in the envelope, but broken. I was heart broken, as these meant a lot to me. And I was also angry. It would have been so easy to send these to me in a safe manner, but that was aparently not an option. I realize that I am the one who forgot the jewelry. And I figure this happens on a near daily basis. It is incumbent upon the person who forgot the object to take responsibility. Why does the motel not say, when we call, "This happens on a regular basis. We are happy to send your jewelry to you. We have boxes and padded envelopes ready to pop in the mail. Please give us your credit card, we will charge you $20.00, to compensate for the shipping and the time to get to the post office; and we will get your package in the mail safely home to you. This would have been perfectly acceptable, and made me happy. Instead, i was very sad.

The room was much cleaner and the bed more comfortable than I expected.

I couldn't hold unto the railing all the way up to the second floor. Part of the railing was up against a wooden structure and it made it hard to grasp the railing properly. It would have been nice to have a railing on both sides of the stairway. I will try to book a room on the ground floor next time. Everything else was great.

Overall this was a nice property and well taken care of. The building and rooms are on the older side but my room was very comfortable and it seems like the clientele was all travelers or business people.

In the bath room it appeared the remodel contractor may have run out of time and lost some of the workmenship pride. One shower wall at the bottom was not sealed with backing material protruding from under the tile. Some floor tile near the door was cut to fit but was way off measurement so lots of caulk was used to fill in the void and I also noticed possibly the signs of poor ventilation above the door and high on opposing wall in the bathroom.
