Chair was broke in the room, springs hurt in the bed when you lay down, the lights in room worked when they wanted. I waited for 20 mins before someone checked me in.

May have been a fluke, but we had hairs in the shower and sink from past people that stayed. Bathroom and rooms need some updating but were functional. Little things were broken but nothing major.

The location is great and very convenient, right next to Catoctin Park and only 22 min drive to Gettysburg. The man at the front desk was very nice and offered suggestions for the area. There is food nearby.

Needed more towels. Grab bar needed on wall at tub exit. Arms of recliner were yucky. Better housecleaning needed. When we checked out at 10:00 there was a sign saying "No one on duty until 3:00." Someone should be available in the office during daylight hours.

Location.--quiet & convenient. A/C was good. Drapery problem was fixed promptly.

Very old and dated. Said a non smoking facility but that’s all you smelled when I got to the second floor.

We wondered if the place was still suffering from COVID issues. It seemed like things were stagnant & still in a reopening mode. We had reserved for 3 nights. Little amenities were missing - only 1 tiny cake of soap, 1 styrofoam cup, 1 paper cup. No complementary shampoo. We asked for some extra towels / washcloths. The room attendant said they would have to take our towels & washcloths, wash them & then give them back to us because they didn’t have any extras. We felt sad for the place.

The place was in a great & convenient location to all we wanted to do. Nice restaurants were close as well.

There were drunk people hanging out in front of the Lobby door which made it very uncomfortable to pass through. The rooms were only half clean, sheets did not look clean and there was hair on my pillow which I went down to the front desk and they gave me a new pillow. They only had one housekeeper and the guy at the front desk was running around like crazy trying to help everyone.

We had a problem with a clogged toilet. We reported this to the staff before we left in the morning. While they said it was fixed when we retinal the evening, the toilet became clogged again immediately. This suggests that it was not fully or properly repaired the first time. This was a substantial inconvenience.

The staff were generally helpful and the location was convenient.

The staff- truly awful. There are live- ins there that are on drugs, had to call police twice because live ins across the hall kept slamming doors all night - not the officers first rodeo- they knew her well. They have children who will walk out of the woods at any given time. Very sad they have to live there- no place for children or pets. It’s not like they’re clean or respectful of others staying there. Always standing outside the side door smoking cigarettes in pj pants. My coworkers room was not cleaned from previous people (there was no one there- Empty hotel), no excuse for not being clean. He had to drive 16 miles away to get another hotel. They offered to clean it but it was disgusting. If I could leave a ZERO star I would.

No one at the check in counter. You had to call a number then someone came to check you in. They gave you 1 soap in the bathroom and that was it! No one was there at check out and there was no breakfast available after saying that it was available 7am to 9am. This was the worst place ever!

Walking up the steps to the second floor made us feel like we were drunk. The stairs were uneven, and from what I can tell, were made of wood and have warped very bad. The bathroom is almost to the point of being unacceptable. Bathtub was horribly stained (friend who stayed in another room said the same thing about their tub). Shower curtain was frayed and should have been replaced months ago. Shower curtain rod is extremely loose. Paint chipping and just in bad shape. Entire bathroom should be redone. Entrance (opposite office) was unlocked at night, and is next to wooded area, not well lit, and we were uneasy coming back after dark. Only had 3 very flat pillows and no spare pillows in the room. There was only 1 regular and 1 decaf coffee in the room. So, only 1 person gets regular coffee? Not a good idea. The lounge chair in the room had very dirty arm rests and it appears that has not been cleaned. I should have reviewed Google Reviews before we booked.

The only con is it is very outdated but it is still comfortable and worth the price.

Everyone is super friendly especially Darrell, he made it feel like home and he is excellent.
