We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaNo one was present in the morning for checkout so we had to leave the cards in a box. The corner of our sheet was torn so our sheet didn't stay on the bed properly thru the night. Breakfast was very basic so a bit disappointing but otherwise the staff was fine.
Great friendly staff, prompt service in the evening at checking. Clean room and comfortable bed.

United States of AmericaI would consider myself a picky person when it comes to cleanliness and for that reason Marriott is always my first option. Knowing this was a Super 8 I didn't expect too much but when I got to the bathroom I was disgusted. There was a bug, not fully dead but not running all over either, on the floor by the toilet. You could very clearly see mold all over the ceiling and the ridiculous fail at just attempting to paint over it, which the mold was seeping through also. The spout for the bathtub was ripped out of the wall and many tiles were not adhered to the wall. Now for the worse part, in my opinion, the walls were so disgusting! It was very easy to see streaks of, I don't know disgustingness, running down the walls in multiple places. Luckily I didn't have the time to focus on the rest of the rooms detail because I'm sure the rest of the walls and other commonly touched things were just as bad. With a pandemic going on and about to surge again I would have expected a little bit more on Super 8 part!
The rate for a two night stay was priced fairly well. This was also a smoking room which I thought were no longer offered, however, that didn't really matter as our room had 2 doors to the outside of our room. One to the hallway and another to the outside which was an alley and there was also what I'm assuming was a chair from our room right outside the door.

United States of AmericaBedspreads had cigarette burns, dumpsters surrounded rooms, people sleeping outdoors across the street. Dirty doors, walls, just overall kinda sketchy and yuck. Saw roach pop on walls however did not see roaches. Will not stay again.
