the internet connection for the tv did not work, when the staff was contacted they were not very helpful saying "read the instructions" which I did and was still unable to get any tv service.

The grounds really need attention. Should note that the facility is NOT handicap friendly. Confusing information to enter the house. No one on site to welcome you or give you information on the facilities available. Couldn't do laundry, even though the site offered it because the closet that housed the washer and dryer was piled high with cleaning supplies.

Excellent location and walking to downtown Travelers Rest. Quite and comfortable. Breakfast stuff in kitchen to make your own breakfast.

Communication with the innkeeper was a persistent problem. Calls made to innkeeper prior to and after booking were either ignored or delayed for days.

Good facility for meeting of a small group - in our case a reunion of college classmates. The living room of the house served as an excellent gathering space.

We visit our oldest daughter at Furman University. She likes that we our 5 minutes away so that we can have quality time during our visits. Plan on returning when she moves back to college next year.

I didn't get the correct information to get in the key pad front door had to call several times to finally get the door code. I had an event to go to so needed to change. Right before I was ready to go to hotel nearby I got the correct email with door code. Very upsetting and poor business practice. They need to confirm their customers can safely get in the Inn.

There was no breakfast available, NO Contact with manager except through text, and not all text were returned. No wi-fi, hair in bathtub(see Pic), not mine or my wifes, towel was soiled. Limited to 1 cup of coffee each for the entire stay. Was not charged the price quoted by Booking.com

There was no breakfast provided, even though we made this reservation based on their website indicating they would serve breakfast. We didn't receive an email from them stating which room we were assigned until the day of our reservation. Embedded about 9 or 10 paragraphs down in the "fine print" was a single sentence about our room not being in the main house and therefore not having breakfast included. I tried to cancel the reservation as soon as I read the email, but the manager/rep said I could only cancel two weeks in advance. I explained that they had just sent us the email with all the pertinent details that morning, but she was not at all concerned. The use of a sleeper sofa was provided for our family of three. It appeared to be 30 to 40 years old and was very uncomfortable, with the springs practically digging into our daughter's back.

The location was convenient to other area attractions.

I enjoyed my stay at Swamp Rabbit Inn. I stayed in The Studio. It had a king size bed, sleeper sofa, microwave, washer, dryer and mini fridge. It was well-stocked with towels, coffee, paper products, laundry detergent, etc. The Inn is located close to everything in Travelers Rest and just a short distance to Greenville.

Room was very sparse and plain. Minimal decoration made for an impression of compromise. Some art on the walls would go a long towards improving the space and hiding the electrical box. Furniture was cheap. Paint was peeling off doors. Ceiling paint was poorly applied around the ceiling fan. Several spots of mismatched paint on the walls. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was really nice. Mismatched lighting temperature though. Soft white mixed with daylight was odd. I appreciated the soap dispenser on the shower wall instead of the little bottles that inevitably end up in a landfill.

I have attempted to contact, per the website and emails direction to text, email, and message, the folks at Swamp Rabbit Inn to let them know of a bug problem. 6 days later, I have not been contacted. I sent 5 pictures of bugs crawling on the walls and noticeable spider webs on the ceiling in the Azalea room. Good thing I didn’t see these before going to sleep. The location is very convenient to restaurants in TR. I also was charged $30 more than I agreed to when booking thru booking.com. 2 days before my visit, I contacted the number for SRI and was told it was probably a cleaning fee and that she would look into and call me back when she got back to the office. I never received a call back. I regret giving this type of review since I really wanted to like my stay. If someone would be responsive when customers, who care about small businesses, try (3 different times and ways) to let you know of an issue you need to respond and react.

Swamp Rabbit Inn, Travelers Rest was fantastic! My niece and I were staying in the main house, but there was an issue with the air conditioner and the owner gave us one of the cottages on the property at no additional charge. I would recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. The location is in town, but is so peaceful and quiet on the property. You have access to breakfast foods and the use of the entire kitchen, dining area, and living room.
