2nd room was supposed to be ocean view, but view was obstructed by work and tents/canopies across the street, shower door did not close properly, toilet did not flush properly.

One of the rooms was great - ocean view, clean, everything worked great. Had free popcorn at night and location unbeatable.

Didn't supply shampoo and conditioner. One of our rooms didn't have bedside lights, which would have been helpful for reading.

Room and beds were comfortable, had a microwave and frig. Large walk-in shower. We were there in January to see Monarchs, so the place was quiet. Fire pit going at night was a treat. Morning beverage window was a terrific bonus.

Location was the best, we had an ocean view room which was extraordinary and magical. The front desk staff was super helpful and took her time explaining the details to us. My daughter enjoyed her free popcorn and hot chocolate after her swim at the heated pool!

The hot tub was not hot, the water was a weird color, and it had way too much chlorine. My eyes burned and I started to feel it in my lungs.

Location and view were phenomenal! I love that the property is elevated. Walking distance to the boardwalk and restaurants/bars. Room was well kept and clean. The staff was fantastic.

The staff was extremely friendly and provided lots of useful information. I loved the fact that they have a free coffee bar, with a side window to order FREE coffee drinks from 6am-11am. They also offered free popcorn and hot chocolate in the afternoons. The location was ideal and easy access to the beach and back to your room. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views from the shared balcony. I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends. Even our neighbors were friendly. The cleaning staff was also readily available for extra towels and confirmed on whether we wanted our rooms cleaned or not.

Location and view are the best Santa Cruz has to offer, in my opinion. I do not want to stay anywhere else. This was our 4th time staying and 2nd at Christmas time. Watching the Christmas train drive by from our balcony is a highlight.
