It was beautiful and the decor was so well done. The spa was great. The only drawback was the fire pit location. You are looking into others rooms. There’s a great spot out front that would be better suited for a fire pit over looking the river and hot cocoa is a must and wasn’t available.

United States of Americathere is evidence of lack of good management at the property. our room had dirty laundry bags right outside our room for a whole day, for example. Personnel needs to be trained better to deal with the caliber of property and the price one pays per room per night.

United States of Americait’s hardly a spa. there are no spa facilities except for massages (with no prices listed). no pool, no jacuzzi, no steam room, no relaxation area. There’s a limited-use sauna you can go in for 15 mins.

United States of AmericaWe had rented five rooms on the premises, and staff was less than attentive when it came to customer service. There is no bell staff, so we had to lug all of our own baggage up to the rooms. The restaurant was closed when we were checking in, and we had young children waiting with us. We weren’t offered any refreshments or snacks for the children, even though they had cookies available. We wandered around looking for the elevator because it’s not easily spotted from the reception desk, and the person checking us in offered no directions.
The property is beautiful, with no attention to aesthetic detail spared.

The Restaurant was Beautiful and our meal was Incredibly Delicious . Bartenders made some of the best drinks we’ve ever had. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Abbey Inn and Spa . We look forward to staying there again !

United States of AmericaOur hotel room was a first floor room overlooking the front driveway. Not the best spot for two ladies traveling alone. We were unable to ever have the blinds open as people could seen our room. We requested a different room but they were unable to offer us something else (hotel full). We had a fireplace in our room with an insert that would have been nice to use to create heat but we were told it was just for show. The front desk staff was not very helpful in getting a taxi or offering assistance with it. They just handed us a piece of paper with phone numbers and told us to call around to see what we could get. Why do we have to pay a resort fee if staff wont even assist in simple matters like that. The spa front desk staff should not ask guests to speak out loud their gratuity with other guests standing in line. It was very awkward. We dined at the on site restaurant and my requested birthday dinner was never acknowledged. For a Michelin recommended place the service needs a bit of improvement. Dinner flow was not great-- food brought out while plates from a previous course were still at the table.
The restaurant staff at the bar area were super nice and friendly and helped make our stay enjoyable. Our room was clean and nice looking. Dinner at the restaurant was quite good.

Breakfast was the only thing that had a few things I would change, the coffee wasn't really hot and the cup small and the busy waiter didn't offer to add to the cup. Also, we got unbuttered toast and no butter, the butter was shortly delivered but by then the toast was cold. We would have chosen multigrain bread anyway but odd that was all that was offered, others might have preferred another kind. Obviously minor issue.
Liked the large towels, the water in the room, comfort of bed, linens and space. At the restaurant, we liked that it wasn't buffet and the eggs were cooked perfectly and the price was right.

United States of AmericaBreakfast was not included, which is a downside, especially given the cost of the room and that there are very few other amenities included. There is a restaurant and small bar on the first floor. There is also no additional amenities or benefits at the spa if you did not book a treatment there. The nearby town was small and did not have a lot of activities or shopping. Staff seemed a bit stressed on several occasions and were hard to find at times at the front desk. We had to wait a long time to find someone to ask them to have coffee or hot water available to guests in the lobby area in the morning and their response at first was that they were busy working on other things. Another guest remarked that they had the same problem earlier in the week with missing hot water or coffee and that they were disappointed by the food at the restaurant, so we did not try to restaurant. Depending on the room, it can be noisy-- our room was at the end of a long hallway by elevators so we could hear everything echo into our room from the hall (we had requested a quiet room).
The view from the hotel is really beautiful, overlooking the Hudson River. Some of the staff were helpful with directing us to nearby walking trails. The rooms were clean, comfortable and updated interiors, including nice modern shower. The hiking trails nearby was convenient to access via a short walk across the street.

United States of AmericaThe noise level every single morning and not having heating. I came to relax and sleep not to be waken up early with tremendous noise.
I was there for 3 days 2 nights. My room had no heating. I was provided an electrical heater and said the heating will come up in one hour that never happened. Even the thermostat being at 89 degrees. The noise level was terrible i was in room 109 i heard the cleaning/restaurant staff every-morning before 8am talking, slamming doors and pushing what sounded like a very kart. Beautiful facilities but needs better management, better staff. For the price you pay no worth it!
