My only concern with this property was around safety. The room doors have a deadbolt lock that has a keyhole on the outside of the room. I felt I needed a little extra security as my room was right next to an external stairway. The second concern involved the parked placard that is required to parking in the lot. The placard had my room number listed. It also states the placard must be on the rear view mirror with the room number facing up. I did not do this and was hesitant about leaving the card visible with even the property name on the placard.

Sofia and her husband are amazing. I lost my debit card earlier in the day and didn't realize it until I checked in that evening. Sofia was understanding in a moment of panic for me. She worked with me to make sure the room deposit was taken care of. They were both attentive and checked in to make sure everything with the room was good. The bed was so comfortable, and I slept very well, something that doesn't happen often while I am traveling.

There was a mexican party in the neighborhood and because of the open hotel with its open walls it sounded like it was in my hotel room. But this stopped at 22:30

Location was perfect, close to all the things I wanted to see in Santa Cruz. Perfect bathroom and bed. People workinf there were super friendly especially Islam (Front Desk) Overall an 9/10 experience

The walls were paper thin. We were treated to an all night discussion of our neighbor's comparative infidelities. And I could tell they weren't even yelling. Also the bathrooms were so small you had to get in the shower to open the door from the inside.

The staff was excellent and the price was good.

Parking was excellent, right behind the hotel. There are several restaurants nearby. My destination was the Rio Theater, which is less than a mile away. Friendly town.

There was a light you couldn’t turn off on the mirror in the room which cast a bright green glow throughout the night - I still managed to get a good night sleep but if I wasn’t jet lagged I may have struggled. The blinds also let in a lot of light so bring an eye mask if you’re light sensitive. Pool was out of order, I believe the jacuzzi was working but when we went down the gate was padlocked but just decided to go to dinner earlier - so wasn’t too put out by this.

The heater in the room was difficult to adjust—the button to lower temp felt somewhat worn out and took a lot of pressing to lower the temp. Heater was somewhat noisy.

Although advertised on the hotel sign and booking.com listing, the spa was out of order and the pool heater was not working (so pool was quite chilly, although tolerable for a couple of quick laps) Manager said these would be fixed the day after our stay. Loud footsteps in the room upstairs.
